Also, could capping the rail cause pressures to be higher which could potentially damage injectors?

Kidding right? The reliefe valve is a pressure safety. Without it you have no safety for spikes in pressure.

Actually I wasn't, still learning. After I had my twin turbos put on, and having john modify the cp3 and having bigger injectors, john capped my rail & said it needed to be done.

Talked to john at Floor it diesel and he said I'm fine with the rail being capped

Update, I finally got my truck back this past weekend. It has been 2 1/2 months since I took the truck to John at Floor it Diesel. It took Don at F1 this long to get them done. Don is swamped right now. Plus I had to upgrade to new stainless steel bodies that are in the 6. 7's. That was a very expensive check I had to write. I ended up having 4 old bodies that were cracked and Don could have fixed them but there was no guarantee as to how long those bodies would have lasted since they had been cracked before, so he recommended me upgrading to the new bodies. Boy am I glad I did that. I also took off my EZ and installed an Mp-8 so that way I could turn off my pressure when driving around town & turn it up when I want to have fun.



I also had a rail pressure guage installed so I could monitor things a bit closer & finally had my Fass pump replaced with an AirDog II pump w/ filters. Anything I can do to keep the fuel as clean as possible, espically with these new injectors. I want to thank everyone for there help and input from when I started this thread. I'm now finally ready for the track!

Don had actually made my injectors bigger than I wanted so john had to remodify my pump again so I wouldn't get any surging issues. Anyway, since the new injectors the truck runs super quiet and I actually gained 1. 3 mpg. Before I was averaging about 19. 4on the interstate and now after gong through 2 tanks, I've averaged 20. 7 I'll take that any day, espically with all the mods i've done. My truck has never ran so smoothly, I'm very happy with it.
