If I'm not mistaken TDR brake guru Sam Peterson (360/357-4958) can get you a rebuild kit for the hydroboost for around $50.

Illflem... ... ... One call did it all!!!:D :D :D

Just talked to Sam. Kit is $25. 00 but it is actually made for the Chevy's who use the same booster. The kit is sold as a kit for a Chevy. No one has torn apart the booster(supposedly the same) for the dodge and seen if all the parts will work. But according to Sam it sounds like 80-90% of the o-rings and bushings will or should fit. All the important bushings and o-rings it sounds like are there. So we will see... ... ... Advice from him just for anyone in the future, do not buy a reman'ed part if it is A1 Cardone. Go with a name brand. Sounds like Cardone does not have good qulity standards.

Did anyone ever get this Hydroboost rebuild kit from Sam ?

My truck is leaking out a lot of fluid somewhere near the brake master cylinder and the hydroboost. I checked my power steering fluid level and it was really low, so my suspicion is that it's my hydroboost that's gone.

If A1 Cardone is not a good option, what about getting a hydroboost of a junk yard vehicle ?

Thanks for any help,

Ever since I installed my rebuilt hydro-boost unit from NAPA my brake peddle has not been right. It goes down much too far before the brakes engage. I'm on my second one now. Couldn't figure out why so I took it to the dealer. They bleed the brakes and activated the actuator using there scan tool to make sure there was no are in it. Still the brake peddle goes down much too far. It's as if it's missing a spacer or the rod that goes into the master cylinder is too short. The only thing I can think of now is buying the $600. 00 OEM unit and trying that.

One other thing, the first unit from NAPA that I purchased already had the rod that goes into the master cylinder so I didn't use the old one and I didn't check to make sure they were the same length.
