Has far as I can tell fluid is coming from the outboard side of the box, between box and frame. resovoir and pump seem to be dry to the touch. None of the hose connections into the box are wet. the three fastners holding the box on are tight. any one have any ideas?

thanks

Not sure when your 03 was built but I had issues with my power steering pump where the pressure line going into the box from the bottom had cracked. Apparently on the early 03 trucks there is a "weight" that is missing from the high-pressure line that keeps the line from vibrating/moving while on the road. There is a TSB out that calls for a replacement of the high-pressure line which includes this new "weight". Take a look at your power steering line right next to your brake booster or air horn... ... the line should have a "C" looking weight on it. If not my guess is that you are one of the lucky ones that needs their line replaced. This is just a hunch!!!

I noticed the top of my steering box was oily when I done the last service. I didn't look at it as I was in a hurry and it seems like more of a seep around a cover or seal.
