just got mine changed in my 06, it was $430. 00 installed and looks quite nice... , but i wouldnt try to do it yourself, its a 1 piece unit, you have to remove EVERYTHING attached to the floor...
 
I think I've seen a line item for "carpet delete" or "vinyl mat instead of carpet" on Dodge trucks for several years.

Would Husky floorliners be a good option? Easy to clean - remove from cab and spray-off, and do a great job of protecting the carpet from most things. Having the carpet would be better for resale.

Not anymore... . at least not on Laramie trim-level. :( Not sure about SLT.
 
my regular cab has the vinyl floor and I love it. imho the vinyl seats are nicer looking and firmer than the cloth seats thru 05. if all of the laramie-level bells and whistles aren't important to you, you might want to look into getting a less-expensive trim level then having leather covers added by a local dodge dealer. someone in my town did that, and they look exactly like factory leather... supposedly they're the same seat.
