The might have outdoor rated ones... I'm not sure. PT, you got this one?
Only 2 of my tickets were for speeding. The rest were stupid stuff. Lets see how good my memory is:
1. Speeding: 50 in a 35 (only one that wasn't in one of my trucks)
2. Offroading in a park
3. Failure to control vehicle (smashed the back of a 4 runner)
4. Tresspassing (offroading in a construction site)
5. Speeding: 40 in a 25
6. Illegal modified/loud exhaust
7. Failure to yield at stop sign
8. Expired registration
9. Littering
10. Tail light out (fix-it ticket)
11. Failure to wear a seatbelt (forgot to pay it, they suspended my license)
12. Expired registration
13. Failure to wear a seatbelt
14. Driving with a suspended license (13&14 were given at the same time)
15. Defective registration equipment
16. Driving with a suspended license (6 days after 13&14, got 15&16 at the same time)
17. Expired registration (forgot to pay, suspended license AGAIN)
18. Driving with a suspended license
19. Driving with a suspended license
20. Driving with a suspended license
Now, at this point you're all thinking the same thing: "those tickets are your fault. " What doesn't really come through here though, are a few things.
First, I've probably been pulled over in excess of 60-70 times altogether. Most of the time they were looking for something to give me a ticket for, and most of the time they had nothing on me, so they had to let me go.
Second, eventually you get to a point, after having been pulled over numerous times for such stupid stuff, and sat through court only to be reminded that you're just a dumb kid and theyre the law, it doesn't matter what really happened, you're guilty because the cop said you were guilty, at that point you start to not so much care what cops, judges, or DAs have to say. Then all of a sudden, paying $75 to register your truck (now its up to $106) seems asinine, considering that you've already tried obeying the law, and that got you nowhere. You also would rather not wait in line for 3 hours at the DMV, and pay $50 to reinstate your license, when you lost it over a $10 ticket in the first place. Not having a license doesn't stop you from driving either, as I said, what reason do you have to follow the law? Its called black will. If you're going to get punished when you haven't done anything wrong, you might as well do something to make it worth it, right?
Career criminal: someone, who when at an earlier stage of life, is punished routinely and harshly for minor offenses, and later commits larger and larger offenses based on the fact that he has already be classified as a criminal.
Last, most of the time I get pulled over, they have no reason to pull me over in the first place. They see my truck, and jump on me like flies on... well you know. It really is annoying. My dad even realizes how stupid it is that they won't leave me alone. He told me I should just pull over as soon as they come up behind me. They'll follow of course, cuz thats the way they are. And when he comes up the the window, I'll say "If you have a reason to be following me, then tell me right now, otherwise, get out from behind me and leave me the hell alone. "
