My truck right now has a two piece drive shaft. I've been through 3 carrier bearings in the last two weeks because of axle wrap. My truck is lifted with 4" blocks in the back. As I type this I'm having new leafs put in with the 4" lift built into them to remove the blocks all together. This should help with the axle wrap, but only to a point. They don't make traction bars for a QC Long Bed. So I was thinking of having a one piece drive shaft made. My questions are, has anybody done this for a QG LB and do you think it'll help? Or is it not worth it? And is it even doable?

Sure is doable... . I had a 2 piece in my crew-cab dually GM conversion truck and swapped it out for a 1piece unit from Haisley Machine... not cheap but its 4" tube with 1480 joints and is 84 inches long... the shaft is technically ileagle (60 some inches max) for on the road but I don't get any vibration from it and I really like it!

The shop that is setting you up with the springs shoudl be able to fab up a set of ladder bars for you.

That's what I originally wanted, but they said no matter what the geometry would be off. I personally don't see it. It's not like I'm asking for some huge amount of articulation. Does anyone even make ladder/traction bars for a 3rd gen QC LB?
