I went with the transforce's in 265 E's, like them so far, we are coming into the winter rain and snow will be the final test, these tires handle real well I tend to push the truck hard around corners and it goes where you point it with no sway, I run mine at 65psi unloaded.

I run the Transforce on my truck and my fifth wheel trailer and they are doing a good job so fore. I know they are a very good trailer tire. I had good years on the trailer that was a trailer tire lost all 4 in 4000 miles Only rated at 65mph. The LT is rated a laughed better have over 30. 000 miles on them.

Toyo AT's

I just returned from a 2300 mile journey up Hwy 1 & 101 from San Diego to Oregon, then down I-5 in blistering heat. My 285 Toyo At's w/30,000 on them performed flawlessly. I couldn't imagine driving on those winding roads w/ shear cliffs with anything less than an E rated tire with a huge load rating. These will be dead in another 10,000 and I'll replace them with same.

This tread is over one year old and I would like to solicit the comments of the REVO 2 owners. How are they holding up and are you still happy with your selection.

My OEM (BFG Long Trail) tires are good for another 5K and then they must go with about 38K on them. I have looked long and hard at various options and selected the Bridgestone REVO 2s in a 315/70R/17 size.

I had 285-75-16 Bridgestone AT's on my '98. 5. They were load range D with a 3305# load rating@60 psi at the time. Load on each tire during the time I owned them was 2200#,well under the stated capacity. The plus: great riding tire and easy to balance. Negatives: easily cut, numerous flats and then total tread separation and a near catastrophic blowout@ 30,000 miles. $3300 damage in seconds. I have since gone to E rated tires with zero problems. I'm currently looking at the Bridgestone/Firestone E-rated 315's,but still get anxious thinking about my past history with Bridgestones.

A follow up to my Firestone Transforce AT's. I finally replace them last week with 50K on them. They wore square and never once failed me. Near the end wet weather traction was lacking, but that's to be expected. This time I stayed with Firestone Transforce, but switched to the HT's at most of my driving is on road, same size 265/75/16 load range E. I think for the $$$ its a very hard tire to beat.

What do you think of the Firestone Destination A/T? I have never been a Firestone tire guy, but 50K on a set of tires on our heavy trucks is impressive.

I ran them on my Ranger, and even in a good snow storm for a week, I would rate them a 10, I liked them.

I am running the firestone transforces on the dodge and really like them, been on over a year and wearing excellent and grip great in all weather.

for truck tires so far I have been real happy with there tires, I dont run there car tires though, I tend to run Michelins .

I don't know about the Destination, but be sure to stay with a load range E tire. I think the Destination might be more of a light truck/suv kinda tire and not a real heavy duty truck tire. But I don't know for sure.

correct..... they are good for mini trucks.

I got 65,000 miles on first set of Revo's, pulled them for a new set with propably 7,000 miles left. They do pick up rocks easier than BFG A/Ts do. They do well in mud, are comfortable on the road. I like them and will buy them again.

We run the Firestone Transforce A/T's load range "E" in stock sizes on our trucks, and have for the past 4 years or so. We replace them every other Nov (with 50k-55k) with still usable tread still on them, people at the tire shop line up to get our take off's. We replace before we get our "wet winter weather" to have max traction during the winter. They have just the right about of grip for our use (new construction job sites, daily use) with GREAT wear and traction. Our trucks are heavy service body trucks, and these are the best wearing tire we have found--and we have used almost all brands.

The 95 4x4 is currently running 265/75-16E Mich LTX-AT2's and has 47k on them (they were won in a school raffle--$5 ticket!) and have done a very good job on the road, but lack the grip of the Firestones offroad--but for $5, could not pass them up! Will replace them in the next several weeks with the Firestone's.

For us the Firestones are the best tire for our needs--my . 02

My original Michelin's have only 34k on them but 12k towing 10-11k lbs and they are all season radials show almost no signs of wear.

2500,07. 5, 6. 7, auto, quad cab, hd, SLT, thunderroad pckg, 4x4.
