Does anyone have experience with firestone destination a/t or transforce a/t tires? Looking at them for my dually. Had to buy a used firestone as a replacement, and liked the way it wore as compared to my other tires.

I run the Transforce A/T, run good, grip excellent in the wet and snow... ... I rotate a few times a year to keep the fronts from rolling the edge. best unloaded pressure for me is 67/68 lbs. I will replace with the same next year.

While in Oregon this summer I put on a set of Bridgestone Duravis R500HD tires purchased at Costco. These are road tires with HD sidewall designed for commercial application. I've never tried Bridgestones before but I am pleased so far. I haven't many miles on them as yet but am impressed with their tracking ability. They go where you want to go even if the flaw or crack in the pavement is running in the direction you are traveling. They will not follow the pavement defect. They are noisy on broken, cracked concrete highways ie California. On an asphalt highway, perfectly quiet. Overall I'm pleased. As far as miles go we'll have to wait and see how they hold up.

On the subject of Transforce I noted that a commercial hauler delivering a toy hauler to a park I was visiting was using Transforce tires. These were not a/t but it speaks well for mileage and durability.

Bridgestone also makes the Duravis in an a/t version. I'm not sure what the relationship is between Firestone and Bridgestone is but I understand there is one. Ted

I run Michelins in the summer and Bridgestone Blizzaks in the winter. I am on my 4th season on the Blizzaks. They are only a snow tire as the rubber is softer but excellent in the winter.

One of the trucks at work as the Destination A/Ts. Excellent traction in slippery/soft conditions and the snow. I wish they were available in the size I want, judging by how they have held up and the traction I would use them as my next tire which will be in the immediate future.

Not helping your question, but I just put on some Kumho Road Venture SATs on mine. Have something close to them tread pattern wise on the wife's Jeep, and they do a stunning job in snow and wet roads. Problem is that the wife insists on putting the "winter shoes" on after the first good snow. 32" mudders. Those do OK, but float too much - too big a foot print.

Time will tell. Not real pleased with the wear on the rear (currently at 50psi and still show signs of over inflation), and it feels greasy - steering wander is amplified - running 80psi in front, and those look under inflated - only have 150 miles on them. Need to fix the other front end issues first before I condemn the tires. Waiting for something resembling white fluffy stuff on the roads to see how they do.

I've been running the Transforce AT on my 2007. Excellent service out of the first set and I now have approx 6K on the second set. I didn't wear the first set out. I ended up selling them with a little over 40K on them just to have better tread for last winter. They still had guite a few miles of rubber left on them.
