While in Oregon this summer I put on a set of Bridgestone Duravis R500HD tires purchased at Costco. These are road tires with HD sidewall designed for commercial application. I've never tried Bridgestones before but I am pleased so far. I haven't many miles on them as yet but am impressed with their tracking ability. They go where you want to go even if the flaw or crack in the pavement is running in the direction you are traveling. They will not follow the pavement defect. They are noisy on broken, cracked concrete highways ie California. On an asphalt highway, perfectly quiet. Overall I'm pleased. As far as miles go we'll have to wait and see how they hold up.
On the subject of Transforce I noted that a commercial hauler delivering a toy hauler to a park I was visiting was using Transforce tires. These were not a/t but it speaks well for mileage and durability.
Bridgestone also makes the Duravis in an a/t version. I'm not sure what the relationship is between Firestone and Bridgestone is but I understand there is one. Ted
