Advance Auto has a replacement light that will fit right over the original eqpt. raised boss and they are $3. 99 @ - You can have to use thhe chrome cover as a template to drill new holes - So for 2 lights and a pkg of butt connectors, 12 bucks will get you new lights and save ya $$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!

Finished putting them on yesterday and they look pretty good also.

Will send pics later - Can find the lights at Advance Auto and I found them by the auto bulbs etc - they are in a blister pack(yellow colored) and $3. 99 @ dont have item number but will find receipt and give that also = Sure beats the dlr $$$ When the dealer parts counter person showed it to me and said 34 bucks for the lens, I just left!

L. e. d's work great in the OEM housings and won't fry them like the incandescent bulbs.

My replacements

I fixed my license lights a year ago or so. I completely removed the old license lights, that I had replaced twice, and twice they melted and fell out. Went by NAPA and picked up a pair of these metal framed lights for around ten bucks each. Just wired them straight into the old wire harness, and mounted them straight over the old holes. Had to go in kinda sideways with the screws but they went in and work great. No more melted ends. Enjoy.

Replacement lights

The very same ones That I used - Bought them at Advance Auto - $3. 99@ and a pkg of butt connectors $1. 99 - They look pretty good to me!!

And I came out about two (2) tanks of fuel ahead !

How bright?

How bright are the LED ones? The ones I have are incandescent and light up the plate VERY well. Its a "yellow" light that is emitted. Are the LED ones more of a blue or white light?
