I'll do just that.

Sometime in Oct I will go down to KC and hop on MC Racings dyno to compare.

I've gotta wait for my "new" injectors tho. But I'll leave the truck just as it sits... other then some transmission fine tuning.

I'd be willing to bet Mitchell was sandbaging @ those #

cuz I've seen him pull & know he's got mo power than that.

I'll bet he had a 2x4 under the throttle??

Mark, if your interested in comparing to some of your old numbers the Dyno that you dynoed on in Tulsa is now in Mckinney?? TX?? I think thats where it went? He sold it a few weeks ago to a guy with some kind of race shop just north of Dallas. That way you could jump on the same dyno that your truck lost its Dyno Virginity on :D. And the same Dyno Jons stock turboed truck laid down 552 on.

I was gonna be in Dallas for the fun ford weekend but some girl pulled out in front of me and tore my mustang up pretty good. Had to drop all my road trip money into my Barracuda to get it road worthy until the stang gets out of the body shop. I will be back in diesel world someday :D

Nope, He sold it to the guy north of Dallas just last week. So we are without a Dyno in Tulsa now :( and I am building a new motor for my car. To help keep it accurate in Transporting it was delivered with the Very truck that pegged the torque on that dyno the very first time :D. I no longer have a number to get a hold of Chad but next time I see him at the drags I will try and find out the name of the shop the Dyno went to

Charles, do you really think your pump is going!

Jim

Hey,, I was hoping for 400-420HP, boy was I Suprised!! WHoo-Hoo!!

Yall just keep sayin' those HP #'s are low. :D If yalls are low,, mine must be low also, 'cause I dyno'd the Joe D. approved way. :D Same day, Same Dyno, Same Conditions.

If yalls numbers are low,, Mine must be low too :D :D

One thing I did different than alot of guys was dyno from 1,200 RPM's ,, hehe, I do like the smoke :D :D

Too bad there were no pictures of my truck on the dyno.

Yall have fun battling out how the dyno numbers were low,, some of the guys went to the track that night and went racing,, and even though I dyno'd at #3, I definatly wasn't #3 at the track  My best 1/8th time was either 9. 2 or 9. 4, I felt real good with one pass me and Kat raced with me just 1MPH slower,, then he said he forgot to turn the O/D on. Then I was keeping up with David in the white ford,, till he hit the propane, then he walked away. (I didn't think I was doing to bad with a 7,520 pound truck and a full tank of fuel)

HAD FUN GUYS!! It was definatly worth the 1,000 mile one way trip!

Yall just keep saying the dyno was low,, it makes me feel good :D :D :D

Still Stuck in "Smile Mode"

I wish I would have gotten a pic of your truck on the dyno... but I probably would have needed the flash to cut through the "darkness" :D :D :D

tst has a 250 mustang, it's rated at 750hp. these are the mustangs most shops have, this is why traction becomes a issue with loading dyno's. btw it was not the white puller, it was a shop truck.

Jim,

thanks for letting me know what kind of dyno it was, i never heard before. :)

Jim,

I don't know if the VP44 is going. I just don't know where to look anymore. Piers suggested I take to Cummins and have them read the ECM for codes and maybe this will tell me something. All I know is it runs great on the street and there is no sign of failed VP44. I might even have my truck dyno'd at Cummins just to satisfy my curiosity. I think it would be much simpler if my VP44 just died so I'll at least know what my low HP problem is. . Not fun having to stay up at night thinking about it.

My truck looks like it is having the same problem as Tom. We sent each other PM's and he is having the exact same problem.

Maybe, I should have dyno'd with the wastegate disabled since that would have yielded another 6 PSI max boost.

Charles,

If it comes out that it is your VP44, I would go ahead and get one of DD's special VP44's. Just something to mull over.

Andrew

I wish it were that easy Andrew. I don't think I could convince my wife I need to spend 3K on a VP44 pump when I can get a new one for 1300. 00.

I can see where being married can have some drawbacks... :-(

Charles

I second that statement Charles... ... add in 3 kids who play every sport known to man and watch your BOMB budget take a hit. Before kids it was nothing for the wife and I to take off for the carribian (sp) for a week... ... Those were the days ;) ;) ;)

Come on now, you know how it is. When you spend all your money on bombs, dyno runs, and diesel, you can't afford to eat much better :D :p. We would have stopped at Hooters, but we're broke.

Kris

Hey Kris,

Don't be slamming hooters. They have some of the best chicken wings. Not to mention the nice enviroment when you're eating there... :D :D :D
