Guess what my old Iowa farmer friends bought....

Warranty Not Valid with Bigger Exhaust on new Fords!

The next time you guys decide to do something like this you otta set up some bleachers and sell some tickets first. :D

this is why my truck gets like 2-3 washes a year. once in the spring to get the salt off, once in the middle of summer [to make it look pretty;)], once in the fall to wash the rust proofing overspray off the windows & mirrors...

The trailer gets all the road spray kicked up from the duals on the tractor... . and its out in the wind more.

Tractor duals arent bothered as much by the singles up front--- also stays slightly warmer here from the axles and stuff.

Do it like they do on trains and powerbrake for a short while to warm the brakes up in ice and cold weather. :-laf :-laf :-laf

In really cold weather on a train, sometimes the brakes have to be applied up to a 1/2 mile before the initial application just to get them heated up enough to work well by then. same thing would apply to the drum brakes on a truck... . just not for a 1/2 mile... :D :-laf

A little off the truck subject, but what about dynamic braking.

Klenger,

Ya don't hafta rub it in! Crystal clear West Michigan winter night here. It's zero and the temps are still dropping. Got to find a warm place Florida way to visit over spring break. Still need to get a heavier hitch and a brake control installed on the '01 truck. Still plenty of winter left. If ya hurry, you could get here in time to enjoy some of it. :-laf

Great idea! That`s why I`m going to Cancun Saturday. DK.

I could tell you're from Canada before I even checked. Seems that the only place smart enough to offer rust proofing (aka Rust Check) is Canada. Here in the USA they don't have a clue what it is. I did hear that there was finally a Rust Check facility open in Northern Ohio. 'Bout time! I bought a case of Rust Check to do my truck but never got around to it.

I was 500 miles north of Edmonton at night on Jan 15. When I pulled into camp it was -40. Decided not to wash the truck. Lonely drive, met 2 vehicles in 200 miles.
