EMD Diesel Power said:The trailer gets all the road spray kicked up from the duals on the tractor... . and its out in the wind more.
Tractor duals arent bothered as much by the singles up front--- also stays slightly warmer here from the axles and stuff.
Do it like they do on trains and powerbrake for a short while to warm the brakes up in ice and cold weather. :-laf :-laf :-laf
In really cold weather on a train, sometimes the brakes have to be applied up to a 1/2 mile before the initial application just to get them heated up enough to work well by then. same thing would apply to the drum brakes on a truck... . just not for a 1/2 mile...:-laf

Ya don't hafta rub it in! Crystal clear West Michigan winter night here. It's zero and the temps are still dropping. Got to find a warm place Florida way to visit over spring break. Still need to get a heavier hitch and a brake control installed on the '01 truck. Still plenty of winter left. If ya hurry, you could get here in time to enjoy some of it. :-laf
