Got out my marlin model 60 22 a couple of weeks ago and started to shoot it again. (Its probably been 20 years since Ive fired this gun)
Anyway, its always been missing the screw that goes on the front side of the trigger guard. The trigger guard has always seemed tight, so I never thought much about it. Well, I decided to order a new screw from marlin, and I got it last week. They wouldn't guarantee that it would fit, but it seems to be ok. I dont think it more than a couple of threads that are holding it in, but it is good and tight.
My question is, should I put some loc-tight on that screw ? I really don't plan on ever taking it completely apart, but you never know. What is the standard procedure here ? (for you gunsmiths out there).
Thanks
