Locker Question

I have an 04 with a open diff inthe rear and I hate it. I want a LSD or Detroit. I know LSD is nicer on the drivetrain and tires, but a full detroit never fails but wears out tires fast. I tow at the most 15k once-twice a month.



Has anyone pulled that much weight with a full locker???

I had a loc-rite locker in my 01 2500. I pulled my 30 ft 5er and 25ft gooseneck with fire wood with no problems. It did feather the rear tires just a bit but the traction was worth it. I had a lwb so it was not noticable except for short turns. The truck had 190 k on the ticker when I traded it in on the 06.
