To the credit of Dynatrac, they may be offering some real, hands-on assistance. That may be a nice revelation. .

I 2nd the seal that HH suggested... I buy them straight from Seals-It and they work! We use them in rockcrawlers and mud trucks and are amazing... . not very expensive and will work with up to 40 spline axle and as small as 30 spl

Thanks for that. . Will pass it along to the installer with all the other stuff that has been sent. Hopefully it helps someone else that's struggling with a front axle leak too.

These forums are fantastic when people help each other and refrain from the nasty personal stuff. . Tnx. .

That's what makes TDR so much better than other sites I used to frequent. The moderators do a good job keeping it civilized. Just don't go near the political section... ... ... ... If I wanted to argue, I'd drag another truck into my yard and argue with my wife... ...

To help center axle shaft in tube/seal for install I use a prybar in end of axle tube (rounded side up) to lever the inner end up and gently center itself through seal. Use lots of grease on splines and on shaft where it will be touching seal on way through.

UPDATE 2/7/2013: Dynatrac made this right. . They took delivery of the truck, cut new axles, re-assembled, did a nice job. I took the truck on a 19 mile trail run through the Coso mountains. Climbs and tracks outstanding. No problems afterwards. .

Many Thanks for the input, to the Original installer, my friend that recommended them, and Dynatrac.

So far so good. #ad
