Aside from an injection pump nightmare about a year back, my '92 has run like a Swiss watch for many years now, needing nothing but frequent oil changes and little other attention. However, lately fuel mileage has gone down from original 19-20mpg to now 18 empty to as low as 13 loaded with a loaded, open car trailer. At the same time crawling up a grade seems to be a major task. Steep grades now force the truck down to sometimes 35mph. Never had that before. I also feel my truck has a rough idle.
My first guess is that one or two fuel injectors might be old, weak, and in need of replacement. More precisely, I need someone capable to give the truck a honest-to-God service. It deserves it after so many years of loyalty to me.
Looking for advise on the aforementioned problem with higher fuel mileage and lower performance and like to find help finding an independent shop in SoCal's Ventura, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks area.
Thanks guys!
