Pretty cool Marv!

Two thumbs up Marv!

Always finding ways to make a great product even better! :D

I love it! :)

Is this the longest thread ever posted?

Anyway, I'd really like to hear from all the 2WD owners who installed this brace. My truck has 13,900 miles on it and is in the shop getting a new steering box!

Excellent, Chinese bearings suck.

How about making the replacement nut (the new part that goes inside the bearing) out of stainless steel? Mine is rusting badly after a couple of trips to the Gulf Coast, it seems salt spray is eating it alive. This will be a problem for the units you sell to people who live in northern states that salt the winter roads.

Do you sell the bearing assembly seperately as an upgrade to us with the original Chinese assembly?

If you decide to make the new nut out of rust-resistant material please make it available seperately.

Otherwise it's a great product and sure has helped my steering feel. I showed my dealer and they were impressed too. :)

thanks for the www slo-ryde

anything that would make the unit less proun to rust would be a great thing for here in maritime canada.

I'm likely to sand blast the bracket and hot dip galvanize it. that will put a stop to the rust.

Hi all,

As one of the first customers to send in payment, 4 months ago I am still waiting for a bracket that fits my CTD. I did get one but it hit the pitman arm and the holes did not line up.

If Darin reads this please let me what is going on with a replacement. 4 months is really long time to be waiting.

I just got mine installed - seems like it helped out the play quite a bit.

I only have one concern: will water pool on top of the bearing? I have attached a picture of the bearing, but of course I didn't take a picture of the side I was concerned about. The top of the bearing has a pocket that water could pool in. Thinking that it might be a problme I packed the topside with some grease. Probably no big deal, but just wondering if anyone else had thought about it.

To DCMille290 I checked back and the second one was sent on May 15. I sent it, as promised and never heard anything from you of not receiving it. I will take full responsibility for whatever happened to it, and I will send you another. I'm sorry.

We have had a couple of problems with shipping thru the Post Office, but it amounts to about . 02% compared with the bus at about 10%.

We do screw up once in a while (and when it rains, it pours!) but we will make everything right.

Also, to everyone that bought one of these things, and to the TDR that got us going, THANK YOU!!!

Installed and thumbs up

DSS went in 3 weeks ago. Sure did the trick at tightening up the steering. 2WD install. I'd have to vote this as the most useful upgrade on this truck. Kinda nice to drive down the road straight. The previous wander was tolerable but the DSS pulled through. What does Dodge have to say about this product?

Darin;

Don't sweat the complaint from DCMille290. Twice I've tried to order his magic clothes and nothing has appeared in my mailbox.

This is for commercial usage and the potential for many pieces per month.

I chuckled when I read his complaint and decided "everything that goes around comes around"

Now that this thread has been active again, I can't wait to install mine. It is on tomorrows list of projects. I hope it cures some of my steering wander.

Another satisfied customer here (bought it through Piers).

Quality product, great fit & finish, and it works!!

I can precisely pick the spot in the road where I want the vehicle to travel now, rather than concentrate on keeping it between the ditches.

Darin

I emailed you when you emailed me about shipping another DSS. What address did you ship it to?

JohnE

I have checked all of the last couple of months emails and cannot find anything about missing Magic Cloths.

I appologize if I did not follow up with you.

Just email me and I'll send them out Priority Mail at no charge.

Please everyone remember I travel for a living fulltime and it would not be the first time I lost something.

Just did mine yesterday. 4WD with "The Boss" snowplow mount. It wasn't the quick 20 minute install that the others get to do, but not real bad either. Need to take the front plow mount bracket off (12 1/2" bolts) to be able to slide the unit in place.

Took it down one of the worst sections of road around and I would have to say that it took out the better half of any steering play. 114K miles. I would think there are probably a few other points starting to get loose too by now. LOL! I would say very much worth the time and bucks.

I finally got around to installing a DSS on both my father's and my truck. My pop is a hard one to please and he feels it was a worth while investement as his steering is much more positive now.

With my truck at 120k with all the original steering components, the DSS did firm up the steering a bit. I too have a more positive feel driving down the road.

One thing that I noticed, that may have been mentioned before, is that my steering wheel is now offer center (maybe in the one o'clock position). I thought that was a little odd.
