Neibe-I've gotta take offense to your statement that "all Canadian shops are government subsidized". This statement is possibly true when applied to megacorps like Bombardier, but not to a little guy like Darin. In fact, the converse is true-between federal and provincial taxes and various other BS rules little guys get squeezed pretty hard-I daresay harder than on the south side of the 49th... ...
The man has come up with a good idea to fix a common problem on our trucks, he's selling it for a fair price, and he seems like a real good guy from what I've seen on here (I have his phone # but I haven't called him yet-waiting for his backlog to clear up a little!). IMO he deserves every cent he makes off this deal.
Being Canadian, I try to buy as much stuff as I can from north of the border-not necessarily for quality or nationalistic reasons, more because of the hassles in parts crossing the border (although most of my hassles there have been with evil UPS

). I've had bad experiences with Canadian vendors-nobody on here though. And I've had excellent luck with vendors on your side of the fence too-the one that really sticks out in my mind is DT Fabrication-they called me at home one night after work to chat about some control arms I was looking for and to let me know about some of the new stuff they had coming down the fence. I guess what I'm trying to say is if a fella gets tunnel vision about buying from a specific country or a specific brand or really, anything else in that nature, you can miss out on something good. Hey, you might even make a new buddy along the line!
I don't want this to come off as a rant or a flame, more like an intelligent discourse between acquaintances

. Now to keep the thread on track, I will say that I plan to buy one of these braces as soon as Darin gets caught up a little bit-don't want to bump one of my southern friends out of the lineup!
