Still waiting... ... ..... It's been a long time since the item was shipped. I could use a contact email from someone please. I am on the road and don't have it with me.

Just an update

I just wanted to restate this information for those that want to order and not go clear back through the entire thread. My reason is that I've personally gotten several emails asking how to order and the price. This is the latest information I have if it is not current someone please correct me.

$139. 00 plus $22. 00 shipping=$161. 00

You can send a check to:

Darin Tessier

Box 301 Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada

S4H 2K1

It will take around 30 days from the time you mail your check until you get your DSS. I also included my truck description and where I wanted my DSS mailed. Hope this helps.

I am not affiliated, just a happy customer.

Hmmmm... . the track bar sure does look like stainless. But I stand corrected if it is aluminum. In any case, it sure is pretty out of the box.

Hope Darin patented this thing. Hate to see someone steal his idea.

The bright color is a dead give away... to me anyway. Stainless steel is quite a bit darker. After looking at and working with different metals for many years, some become easy to spot, even at a distance. :D

I just put a post yesterday in products and accessory about Darin is in the process of making a new Track Bar for our trucks. I also have installed in my truck the bracket for the steering box fix and it is the best money I have ever spent. If Darin's track bar is as good as the steering box fix, we might have another improvement for our trucks. I am not affiliated with Darin in any way and only posting this thread for information only.

Track bar? I wonder what the waiting list is going to be?? It's been almost 7 weeks since I sent the check and haven't receive my steering box bracket yet... Not mad about the wait, but I have another leaky steering box that needs to be replaced. I have a new agr box thats been sitting in the garage and I don't want to install it untill the bracket gets here.

John L. , I know your concern. I ordered from Darin two spare hex bolts for the steering shaft. After 6 1/2 weeks I had not received the hex bolts. I e-mailed Darin that I had not received them and he e-mailed me back that he was again sending me two more and this time he would send them by Puralator Courier (sp) . It still took in excess of a week for the 2nd set of hex bolts. I still haven't received the 1st set. Hang in there, I'm sure it will be only a matter of time; maybe shoot Darin an e-mail. Take care. Philip.

Darin-trac bar sounds good to me

Waiting for Darin's steering fix to arrive, can't wait. How and when do I find out how to get one of Darins trac bars when available, will it show up on this Post ?

Just a thought, but isn't it interesting that DC comes out with service bullitins saying your warranty will be voided if we modify our trucks (ie. fueling boxes, injectors etc. ) But you don't see DC stepping up the plate to cure an odvious steering/front end flaw, just a thought.

Luv my truck but the steering SUX

steering box fix

Would like to know if any members have had any problems with dealer about Darins brackets. I have extended warranty, dont want to wait two more years with my truck steering like this. Only thing i have done is aligments specs from TDR. Was much improvement. The tech wanted a copy of them for the trucks he works on.

steering fix

fmangani, I showed a picture of Darin's steering fix to the machanic at my dealership ( the one I had been complianing about bump steer to since I bought the truck) and he thought I would help. Not only would it support the lower end of the steering but might act as a frame stiffener. He had noticed frame flex a little if you really cranked on the wheel. I can't see how this fix would void a warranty, but if it 's a concern I suppose Darin's bracket could be removed for those fun trips to the dealer.

I don't see how it could cause any problem with the box but any time you modify a part of a system the dealer or manufacture can claim you voided the warranty on that part. Now it would not void your engine or drive train warranty. JMHO

I thought about this before I added the DSS to my 2002 with 5K miles on it and good steering. I went ahead and did it and don't regret it one bit. I like the feel of the steering with the DSS and I did not want to drive it for 3 years and 36K miles without this improvement. For this part of my truck I am my own warranty station and I'm not worried. That should mean a lot coming from a guy like me that won't modify my engine or drive train because of warranty concerns. I won't even use a non-Mopar fluid/filter :)
