Well, it goes like this. I had an 18' trailer loaded with tin, weighing about 8K I would guess. I backed down into a little field and unloaded the tin. Before hand I was warned by my father that I would get stuck. Me being me said "wanna bet" Well I am paying up as I type.
I went to pull the trailer out (the trailer weighs 3K) and I was spinning. To my defense, it was up-hill and slicker than greased... . well you get the picture. I spun, rocked and got nowhere. So the smart-assed old man got his FORD company truck (2wd F-450. Weighs 12K as it sets) hooks a chain on to me and pulls me right out. I did have to keep the wheelspin up or he would spin on the gravel that he was pulling from. I will never hear the end of this, he is a Chubby fan and has given me hell ever since I bought the Cummins. His version of a true diesel is a Maxi-Pad, Cummins, Powerchoke in that order. (I never said he was the brightest bulb in the box)
I need Swampers, more power, and more power. I will never let this happen again. I am ashamed to call myself a Cummins owner and feel I have let the rest of you down. (sniff, sniff)
On the bright side of it though. I thought a 400 horse smallblock sounded sweet singing through the mud. I was DEAD WRONG. The ol' girl was singing up a storm and I am tempted to try er again just to listen to the sweet music of the Cummins. I bet she'll sound real nice with 450HP breathing through a 4" mufflerless exhaust.
Anyway, take it easy on me. A Locker, 36 swampers, and MORE POWER will let me regain my integrety, and show just how much the Cummins will do.
