Well I have been having a problem with my brakes for some time now.

When I'm driving and I first go to hit my brakes the pedal goes almost to the floor before I get brakes. If I let up then push it down again I have a good pedal with good brakes.

If I push the pedal down with the engine off and no vaccuum my pedal is fine and does not go down no manner how hard I push, but when I start the engine the pedal goes almost to the floor when I push on it.

I have 1 ton wheel cylinders that was new about 2 months ago, new calapers, new master cylinder, new shoes, and new pads.

I had the drums turned.

Everything Is new besides the booster, antilock valve and diff pressure valve and the lines.

I just put another master on it last week thinking that I got a bad one from the parts store but no luck.

I hope someone has had this same problem?

Thanks

Adam

You say you put new shoes on the back... are your self adjusters working? Does adding 1 ton wheel cyls take a different bore size master cyl? Just throwing you some questions... Chris

Low pedal

The first thing I would check would be the rear brake adjustment

and then for air in the system.

yep I have adjusted them up until they drag a little and it still does it.

I belive the 1 tom master is the same as the 2500 with a 8800 GVW.

Thanks for your thoughts
