Is there a Difference???

PROUND CTD OWNER. Towed a FURD!!

A long haul cattle truck driver that comes by our sale yard says the one can buy a 2002 Dodge for around 18 grand in Oklahoma.

That is a 4x4 diesel Ext Cab. Anyone know or hear about a deal like this.

Can any of you members from OK look into this, sounds to be good to be true. But the ranchers that know this guy say that he is a no B/S type of person.

Would be worth catching a ride back with him to get a truck!!

18k sounds a little too low, the dealership i buy from is the cheapest i have ever found would sell a ST 2500 4x4 for probably around 25k and a ST 3500 4x4 for around 27k. now the 4x2's are a different story you could easily get a ST 4x2 for around 22k and that price is for only diesel, they sell gasser 3500 ST's for less than 20k...

He just may be telling it like it is.

According to my sister who lives in S. Central Ok, the economy's pretty bad there at the moment.

It could be a bank repo of a fleet.

It could also be some badly-abused trucks.

I'd suggest getting more information: who, where, condition, etc.

When I wa looking for a truck prior to finding my '97, I saw an ad for a '99 F-250 w/PSD, XLT, ext. cab, 4x4, longbox, alum. wheels, and some other goodies. Would have listed for probably 25K at the time. The dealer was asking just under 19K CASH. Less than 50K on the clock. From the picture, it looked mint.

That dealer(?) could be listing cash price also.

Its prolly got a lot of miles on it. Here in Texas if its 3- years old it prolly has 100,000 on it. They trade them off when the 100,000 Cummins warranty runs out.

From what I was told these were new trucks that the dealers were trying to move. It is more than likely a cash deal too. The next time I see the trucker I plan to get some more information. He is supposed to be back this Thursday.

Get names and

phone numbers to call and check it out. Then go there in person and check it out for yourself. I suspect something fishy and something does not smell right... but you might get lucky.
