I have a few questions about how my truck is running now...
The install went easy and truck started up after about 10 seconds. I was really happy as I did not think it would go so smooth. It ran just a bit rough but figured it would clear up after a few days. Here are some of the small things I have noticed and wondered if others could comment on them:
1. Smoles bluish smoke now when starting up in the morning. CLears up after I drive it. Does it at idle only really but it is very noticable.
2. Reving engine while in park the engine will miss a bit, but only if I really step on it. Under load no miss at all. I can here it miss when I am going down a hill though and the engine is breaking the forward momentum of the truck.
3. I hear a loud clicking / tapping sound coming from the drivers side of the engine. It speeds up and slows down with the speed of the motor. Sounds like it is coming from the VP-44 but it is hard to tell. Will bigger injectors change the sound of the injection pump? Almost sounds like loud valve tap?
These things did not bother me at first as I figured they would go away after a while. They haven't and I would like to hear from others. I did torque the hold down bolts to 89 inch pounds and was careful when pulling out crossover tubes.
