Mag-Hytec 727-DD Trans pan in excellent condition, except the drain plug which I could not remove - so I bought a new one (pan). This pan was use about 2-3 years and other than the drain plug, is in perfect condition. As you can see from the pics, I have all the bolts, a new gasket, a new drain plug - if you can get the old one out - and the filter extension block (which is brand new never installed). It also had the bung for adding a temp gauge. These things go for about $270 new, so save yourself $100 and get a great transmission pan for your 48RE. Assuming you can get the old plug out - should be easy if you have access to a drill press (which I did not). It is pretty heavy so I am not willing to ship, so if you are in the Co Springs to Denver I-25 corridor (I am in Monument), come on by and check it out and pick it up.

Does the replacement drain plug have the larger Allen wrench design? I had the same thing happen on my Mag-Hytec rear end cover. Stripped the plug that used the small allen wrench. Ordered a replacement and it uses a much larger Allen wrench that gives you better leverage.

Yes, larger one that Mag Hytec sent to me after I told them I was unable to get the old one out.
