I completely agree and understand. This whole mess was caused by some bad wording on my part. Like I said before I was hoping for feedback, I was even hoping for some criticism but I was not expecting and surely didn't want any ridicule. Its all said and done, and I've clarified what I meant. I just would have rather been asked to clarify than to have some people jump to conclusion about my intentions when they had no clue.

Lets see, if we did a little man on the street quiz! Diesel Truck lays down a smoke screen leaving a stop light. Multiple choice question to casual observer:

A. That thing needs a tune up

B. That is bad.

C. Where is the EPA!

D. Cough cough finger.

E. That was cool.

Where do you think the answers will fall!

In reality the person driving the truck is about the only one that thinks it is cool.

I own three Cummins Diesels, two in the boat and one in the truck. I am not a tree hugger. But guys there are diminishing returns going on here. SNOKING

Sounds like somthin you might hear in commiefornia :-laf As for me... I am a friend of coal!

I had a crazy idea to have a constant voltage attatched to the MAP sensor that would fool the ecm into thingking there is maybe 15LBS of boost all the time. That way the ECM would fuel as if the turbo was spooled. Of course it would blow crazy black smoke on the road but maybe it would help for dynoing and racing. Has anyone ever tried something like this????

Maybe I should stop thinking!!!

Ok, to all the smoke lovers. Please visit our Central Texas TDR site at www.ctdctd.com and take a look at some of the videos and pics by tURBOdIEZEl. If you like coal you'd like his set-up... . and he makes an impressive 432. 9/961. 1

I came up with this idea after dynoing a few months ago. Doing a straight run from 1000RPM through the redline got me 790TQ. After expiramenting with building boost with the brakes it jumped to 944TQ. Some people call this "cheating" but when you are towing a trailer up a long hill you have all the time in the world to build boost. So for me the longer the run is the more accurate it will measure the true on road power, not false power over 4-5 seconds. Here is the difference between what I am talking about.

yup got my vote. I like to be able to make it smoke if I want. theres nothing better than some idiot that pissees you off geting a face full of soot. :D but my truck will only smoke off boost which is great, it wont smoke at all but dead stopped and it will puff, well a little under hard accel but barely. so when someone pisses me off I can show them or I can run clean

Smoke nozzels

RJ, your comp will put out some good smelly stuff, when you get injectors it will increase of coarse, once you start seeing an significant mileage drop the novelty will wear off, im not a tree hugger but you have really got to watch what your doing when you've got the ability to lay down a BIG smoke screen!!!

enjoy you upgrades and the power to put gassers, powercroak, duracrap in their place... ... Jeremy

By the way... . iamb an (E) :-laf
