Manifold pressure guage problems

my boost guage has made a very annoying whistling sound for a while now. i checked hose and the connections at the guage and the manifold, i don't see anything that would cause a leak. the guage seems to be operating normally. It is a DiProcal guage about 7 years old. can these guages fail or leak internally?

If it is a mechanical guage, yes it can fail internally... it sounds like its leaking inside...
