May Madness 2010 Activities

May Madness 2010 Draft Schedule

First time going to this event. What all is included in the registration fee? Do you have to register to just be there and look around at venders row, drags or trk pulls etc? Don't need to go to banquet. More of an info trip for me,and to just look at all the great trk's. May pick a few items on venders row. Wife and I will be staying at campground in our 5th wheel. Thanks for any info you can give!

I am sure you will enjoy your time there. All the seminars are worth the stay. I’m not sure if you have to register just to look around the vendor’s display…might want to ask Joe. However, I suggest you register so you can attend the best part; the banquet where you could possibly win some prices and its lots of fun. Say hello to me and my wife as we will be driving our mineral grey Mega Cab from Sacramento.

The fee, if you pay by Feb 13th is $88. 00 [it goes up a bit the later you register] includes registration for all members of the party, 1 shirt, 1 goody bag, 1 banquet ticket and any activities without a price tag. They usually have one "non" May Madness event a trip, boat ride, etc. that you pay for if you want to go. The usually have several "gatherings" that are included.

I believe you can get a 1 day registration no banquet or shirt is $45. 00.

If you want more info, let me know and I'll get a phone number or e-mail of someone who knows more than I do. I'm sure they'll work with you to get you what you want.

A bunch of us are staying at Preferred RV so we'll be right across the street from the activities-Come join us. Diana

It is going to be here before we know it. We had some TDR folks visit us here in Quartzsite, AZ this year. What a nice surprise. We should get there late March, early Arpil to start finishing things up. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Registration

I need to get registered for the event. Where is the registration form located at? I plan on coming down for the entire show, but I may take a few days and hit Vegas with the wife when we are down there.

Hey BP can you pick up my pump at the office again? Naw just kidding, I am hoping that I won’t need to send any last minute parts so I want to keep the option open. Well here is the real story. I will be dragging Ponci and his wife down with me. I think we are going to put my pickup on his trailer and bring it down, but that all depends on if he wants to bring his race pickup?

We just started on a new motor for mine and it should be done in plenty of time before the show. Ordered most of the parts the other day and Ponci is getting the rest of them. The motor should be out of the machine shop sometime this week and then we can put it all back together. If you want to know yes I will still be using the VE pump. Yeah yeah I know Ponci wants me to come over to the dark side and use a P-pump, but I am going to try and beat my old numbers before I go that route. Last time I came down didn’t work out so well, but I think I have a pretty good set up know.

I am going to dyno my old motor one more time before we take it out. Last time went 633 and the clutch let loose. I have that fixed now and would like to see where I am at before we do the swap.

See all of you guy down there.

Stomp,

You can either get it off the web, see post #6 or turn to page 91 of Issue 67:).

Tracy

Thanks Tracy! Joe sent it to me in an e-mail I guess I am going to have to fill it out so I can go.

Well I bought a 06 mega cab to haul my 93 back to compete on the dyno. I am still working on the new motor, but the head is done and I should have the cam this week so it shouldn’t be too much longer. I have the old motor out and found that my cam gear has moved . 440 and that caused the cam to push out the cam plug on the back of the motor. That was where most of the oil leak was coming from and probably why I lost 164hp on diesel only. I am lucky I didn’t hurt the motor.

Oh yeah I still need to order a hitch for the 06 and get it installed. I guess there is nothing like waiting until the last minute right?

I am looking forward to seeing all of you down there.

Cant Wait!! Oo.

Got my 19. 5" Wheels on for towing. . Got the time off to go. . Glad winter is going bye-bye. Cant Wait. !!

Have a new 09 to show off. Going to have an item on my truck i bet nobody will have on any of their trucks.

Dutch, Di, Cant wait to reunite! Still love your stabilizers! I used them one time when the legs had to be way extended to get level. . and even had to remount the bases up a bit on the leg because they came out!! (over-extended). . Worked perfect!

Eileen and I will be coming out with Denise and Larry as usual..... this will be our 10th year in a row !!!... ..... hope we have a great turnout:)..... tom

Dutch and Di,

Here is a pic I had to do on your stabilizers. I had to remount them higher to allow the legs to extend more. . worked well.

Yeah two weeks left!:) Joe, is there a preliminary schedule yet? I'm doing lots of stuff to my truck (new hood, HID and projector headlight and new fuel filter setup) and I'm not sure if I can get'r all done. So many thing to do with so little time and my truck is a mess. Well have to do a good wash, wax interior clean-up prior to heading south. Looking forward to seeking old friends and meeting new ones. I'm hoping to win some prices at the banquet like new clutch form SB. :-laf I wonder what Crazy Cummins powered truck Marlin is bringing this year.
