Look at the limos out there. This is nothing
i cant seem to view your pictures and i am glad you are happy with your choice and so am i
i went with kadell and my truck came out great and i would put thier work up against anybody in the country and i bet i am not dissapointed
you can take all the pictures you want and provide all the paperwork in the world but they have been customizing tractor trailer frames for 30 plus years with no problems so that to me is proof of there work in itself with no question asked period
they will lengthen your frame and give you all new stainless steel brake lines ( with no splices or union fittings) you get a longer balanced drive line and a wiring harness with factory ends on it so there is no cutting/splicing or black tape/connectors in the wiring either
i haul all kinds of stuff with my truck including my camper and a few other things here is my truck

So, what does the wheelbase become afterwards?![]()
Hey Don, what mirrors are those on your Megalong?
See the attached and look at the bottom for the turning radius comparison. Very interesting. Since it turns tighter than a long bed crew cab SuperDuty, I see no reason that anyone would have trouble getting around in a truck this long. I see the SuperDuty's all over the place where I live and haven't seen one stuck in a tight place yet. You may not be able to park close to the entrance at the mall, but a little walking to where you parked is good for you anyway!
I've found 4 companies that do this mod now. I'm not sure of the quality of the others, but Kadell obviously does nice work. I'm trying to convince the CFO that this has to be our next mod, but when she fires back with the thousands of dollars for another 1. 5 feet of bed space, I realize that I'm going to have to justify it in another way.
I still have my cap off of my '03 long bed that I can't sell and I'd be able to use it on the long bed, so that's now part of the justification. We do road trips out to the Northeast a few times a year and always end up with a full truck on the way back for one reason or another. My dad had some 8 foot flourescent lights that he wanted to give me, but I couldn't get them home under the tonneau cover and keep everything dry. We've even rented a trailer to get some stuff back. I need a long bed!
awesome truck. . Has any one doen a 8 foot bed dually that has the smaller 6 foot bed dually fenders on it? That would look sweet like a first gen dually I think thats what I would like and it would be easier to reach in the bed etc. . any pics or ideas? any photo shop experts ? one in khaki?
Thanks
Deo
My intentions exactly. I have a 2003 2500 longbox that I have added a dually axle to, thanks to somkejunkie for the trade. I have also modified my bed sides (cut off ~7 inches) so the full box fenders would not work. I would like to use the new short box mega-cab dually fenders. I too think this would make a nice looking original (might I say, one of a kind) truck.
