I never thought a mouse nest could be such a problem! While my truck sat parked in my shop for an extended period, some enterprising mouse built a nest in my heater box somewhere.
Several applications of compressed air and shop vacuum have pretty much eliminated the blast of confetti every time I use the defroster, a/c, or heat, but I'm still having a heckuva time dealing with the SMELL!
I bought some dash vent air freshener clips that smell worse, but at least different. I long ago removed the blower fan to reach everything I could while using both the shop vac and the compressed air. And I have no desire at all to remove my rare, zero-cracks, original '96 dash to get better access.
How long can mouse urine and/or dead bodies continue to reek? :{
The smell is now subtle, but still pervasive and offensive. I've actually been taking my dog along everywhere and letting him ride in the cab just to get a change of odors. He's real good at finding new and different dead things to roll in. Add a swim in a pond or river, and he can overpower most anything.
