Help with tire size

Just curious if anyone has ever taken advantage of the Michelin tire prorate discount when buying A new set of M/S2’s after the first set has worn out.
I tow pretty regular with my truck and I’m about 1/16” or less from wear bars and have started thinking about the next set. Rotated them every 5k since new so they have worn well and fast. Only have about 30k on an 80k tire.

If you tow a lot you won’t get much more than that out of a tire. My boss has nitto’s in his ctd and he’s in worse shape than I am.

That's about the mileage I get out of my '01. Toyo, Michelin and Mastercraft, all the same.

However, check this out:https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/260705-nexan-tires?p=2538251#post2538251

X2! Heat and towing shorten tire life. Got more life, 45K, when we were towing cross country due to less heat and 50% deadhead miles. I look for a commercial highway tire and prorate for treadlife. My last set of Cooper Discoverer HT3's didn't give me very good life, but, the prorate helped pay for a set of MICHELIN Defender LTX's. The Cooper's wore evenly and were a stiffer tire. The Michelin's are mush handling, softer ride, and I knew this going into it, but, needed better tread life. Next set will be a stiffer tire for sure.
