I know what you mean, I have been going there for a lot of years (since I was a kid) and I thought they might appreciate the diesels. I had talked with one of the guys a couple of weeks ahead of time and he told me to get them there and then when they showed up the man in charge showed us who was boss. I had 3 Cummins and a hot running DMax out of Indiana sitting in the pits ready to go and he asked them to leave. All four of them were heavy smokers... The worst part is, I heard they let a buddy of theirs run his PoS at the end and he didn't pull as far as the gassers... LOL



I will be there as usual, so if everybody wants to meet up, let me know.

So who did I see this weekend???



Saturday morning, I-96 west exiting onto Novi Rd(i think). 1st generation dually, tow tone paint, 2wd(i think). Very nice truck, I have the same except in black.



Sunday afternoon, I-96 east in the vicinity of the construction between Grand Rapids and Muskegon. I think three 2nd generations(2 dually's and one 2500). All towing boats or trailers. All very nice trucks.



I was in the minivan for all the encounters, so I know no one saw me LOL.

I plan to be there for the pulls this weekend. I may go to the tractor pulls Friday night as well since I only live about 5 minutes from the fairgrounds. Hope to meet some other TDR folks.

I saw a couple today E/B on I-96 between lansing and Novi, might have been near Webberville??? Red dually with another truck on trailer, believe it had stacks and a second truck following, may have had stacks, just caught a quick glimpse as we passed going W/B

Anyone know how has the nice 2nd Gen Red DRW in/around Grass Lake??? I parked next to him at the grocery store a month or so ago. He pulled out and OMG that thing sounded awesome. If I closed my eyes I would have thought a nice big rig was taking off. If anyone knows this truck, I want to know what exhaust he had on there, or if it was straight piped.

Amzoil oil!!!

Where and who is a dealer in Michigan. Closer to South Central MI the best. Would prefer to support a fellow TDR member if at all possible. What is the best oil (that Amzoil offers) for our cummins? If someone pipes up here and knows a price that would be appreciated as well. I'm looking at buying 52 quarts at a time, and would like the best deal possible.

Get-together sounds good to me, we should plan a weekend thing, so hopefully people like bighammer, and others that are kind of on the out-skirts of the state can make it. I would be willing to bring the camper for a weekend outing and get-together, at a nice campground. Should have it kind of central of state.



Hope others chime in with their advice.

i would be up for a weekend of camping. every body throw out a date or dates that would work and lets try and set somthin up. for thopse of you not interested on a weekend i would still be interested in just a night at a bar or somthing. but we need some dates so we can set somthing up!!

i-6dzl i had a trans line come loose on my truck. it burned up the overdrive clutches in the trans. it was a brand new dtt auto. this all happened to my truck on my way down to scheids. still went though. i would be willing to do either a weekend thing or a day thing as long as im not on duty. i have to make all my plans around the coast guard. im off the weekend of the 24-25-26 of sept. i work the next weekend and off the next.
