RBratby,

Sorry to hear about your trans... I just got my truck back about 3 weeks ago and I sure did miss it... Give me a shout anytime if I can help.

Bob

just to let everyone know i broke my own trans. something happend to the line going to the line going to the cooler or the cooler itself. what happend was i thought my trans was going in and out of lockup so i kept on driving. i was going up a hill when this happend. by the time i got to the top of the hill i was doing 55 and slowing with the rpms increasing. i got off and looked at the truck and there was trans fluid leaking from the rear of the cooler or maybe even the cooler. i should of followed what i was told and stoped right where the problem started. see what happens when you dont listen. i just dont want anyone thinking that dtt or the dtt rebuilder/installer had anything to do with what happend. i stayed with the stock cooler line even though i was informed that i should change them. i am telling this to everyone so that you guys dont think that dtt or the installer did something wrong. i am every happy with the trans and will continue to go to dtt for everything. thanks and sorry for not being evey informative on the last post. thanks and hope to see everyone on the 24-25-26. richard

Thanks Richard

Richard thanks for clearing up the mis-understanding. I totally took your previous post the wrong way! I thought you were blaming DTT and the installer. I'm glad you're happy about the DTT product and the installer as well. As soon as the money tree falls on my new house, i'll have a new DTT as well (lets just hope the tree doesn't hit the truck  )

You guys work out the details on the 24,25,26 and i'll hopefully be there.

Later Curtis

yea sorry about that. i dont have a problem with dtt or the installer. as a matter of fact i love my dtt trans it is simply awsome. now i just need more power but then again who doesnt :D if i had to do it all over again i would go back to dtt and the same installer. later richard

Who owns the 2nd gen short box with stacks, traction bars, checkered flag back window and is pewter or silver in color? I have seen the truck at ABB in Auburn Hills and around Oakland and Macomb county.

anybody have any ideas yet? i'm thinking of going to the hideaway campground along i-94 near mm 145 on the 24-25-26 if they are still opened

Unfortunately, I have to work the weekend of the 24-25-26, so I won't be able to make it. If it doesn't work out for you guys, may I suggest having a Holloween bash somewhere the weekend of Oct 29-31st? :D

Don

His name is Jack, he's not a member here, but that's my old truck! However it didn't have the west coast mirrors and all the chicken lights back then, the single stack is a new addition also.

Did it resemble this?

Just got back from a trip to the Western UP. Friday night on NB I75 I raced a silver 03/04 quad cab shortbed just past West Branch. We raced up to 95 or so and he pulled on me. I was pretty surprised , those new trucks run awesome.

Saturday just before the Bridge I saw an awesome looking red 04 dually. It was debadged, with black tinted windows and sounded like it was straight piped. great looking truck.

Sunday saw a 2nd gen truck in Mackinaw city , a ton of gauges and he puffed a big ol cloud of smoke. To be honest I don't remember the color of the truck , I was pretty fried from all the driving.

Curtis,

Was good to meet you Friday... We will have to get everyone in the area together sometime. I have thought about talking to Village Motors and see if they would host us for a Saturday and we could have a cook out... Hmmm, we'll have to get some time and check that out.

Bob
