Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

PM me Jay on the shooters.

And I fount out that when the starter starts dragging and the voltage is good, then you've got worn brushes and that a 24v starter from a wrecked truck is direct replacement for a worn-brushed 12v starter. So now I'm fast crankin' again.

Then I've got this headlight switch thing. Anybody got a good used 12v headlight switch? That's what I think it is. Takes 5-8 minutes for the lights to come on and then I smell hot plasticky stuff. :-laf

Junkyard mmhmmm.

Replace it quick or you'll lose the whole end of the harness. I had to replace my headlight switch in the 'ol white wonder. I was just lucky I got it done in time. Headlights just WENT OUT one night on a backroad from Millersville back to Gallatin. Talk about fun! #@$%! Tapped the switch. . which was warm! and they came back on. Two days later I had a new switch. $40 I think?

I'm collecting.

Probably a flatbed next. 12v. ;)

Dude called me with a NI 5. 9 12v bolted to an Allison--out of a "yard dog" Wants $6000 for it.

Mark is right. Smell burning plastic, only at night, REMOVE the headlight switch. The damm switch won't melt, but it'll FRY the pigtail. I was lucky enough that I was able to get them apart. Junkyard switch works great. The are cheap at the parts house too--but I didn't want some chinese junk.

Anyway, amazing amount of resistance to the circuit--SHOULD BLOW A FUSE, but no, it just melts your dashboard out. OH, and I looked at the switch on the 2000 out back--it has 2 HUGE heatsinks built on.

SO I see a green 12v in a parking lot with two guys looking up under it.

I stop and offer assistance. What they think is transmission juice dripping turns out to be #2 from --appears to be the rusted out fuel lines-- There some line not properly installed where somebuddy had put in a transmission for him. He's on the way to CCD for fuel leak fix and whatever else he needs. Find out the truck is a 95 auto, talk to them a little bit about it. I was driving a 95 auto at the time. ;)

Put a #11 where I had a #8 and moved it all the way FWD. Still have plenty of power and smoke--and boost is up to 48-ish. WHOOPS. :-laf

What would you say to a 215 pumped, #4 plated truck NOT making a DRAM of black smoke? YOU know who you are. I say the AFC isn't working "properly".

Sounds like Cedar City is getting some work this week. :-laf

'Ol Crazy Cousin Dilbert trailered his Pherd F-250 over to them Saturday with his grandpa's gasser F-250 (same style & color) with help curtosey of Meacham Evins trailer.

Said Corn would have him a new transmission by Wed... . hopes to be back on the road by Friday. Good... . I'm ready for blackie to come home :-laf ... like I'd drive it at these prices anyways..... well maybe if it got more than 1/2 the mileage the 'Express gets. :-laf

Fish Fry CANCELLED

The fish fry has been cancelled due to lack of interest. The TDR also dropped the ball on sending out cards.

I thought I would post this here too in case some of you didn't see the other thread.

B20 is running awesome. Fires right up. I love this stuff..... so Yes I am hooked! Power is the same or better, less noise, smoke is around the same, exhaust smell is much better than standard #2.

How are your testings going? Did you get the B99 yet?

I put 10 gal. of B99 in Sunday and then topped off the tank. That works out to a 30% blend. So far its good but fuel pressure is a tad lower. The smell is very different. Bio Diesel is hard to come by in middle TN. Hollingsworth Oil in Springfield or the Citgo on Main in the middle of Nastyville. The B99 is so pure and clear. It has no fuel smell and almost looks like veg. oil.
