I'm collecting.
Probably a flatbed next. 12v.
Dude called me with a NI 5. 9 12v bolted to an Allison--out of a "yard dog" Wants $6000 for it.
Mark is right. Smell burning plastic, only at night, REMOVE the headlight switch. The damm switch won't melt, but it'll FRY the pigtail. I was lucky enough that I was able to get them apart. Junkyard switch works great. The are cheap at the parts house too--but I didn't want some chinese junk.
Anyway, amazing amount of resistance to the circuit--SHOULD BLOW A FUSE, but no, it just melts your dashboard out. OH, and I looked at the switch on the 2000 out back--it has 2 HUGE heatsinks built on.
SO I see a green 12v in a parking lot with two guys looking up under it.
I stop and offer assistance. What they think is transmission juice dripping turns out to be #2 from --appears to be the rusted out fuel lines-- There some line not properly installed where somebuddy had put in a transmission for him. He's on the way to CCD for fuel leak fix and whatever else he needs. Find out the truck is a 95 auto, talk to them a little bit about it. I was driving a 95 auto at the time.
Put a #11 where I had a #8 and moved it all the way FWD. Still have plenty of power and smoke--and boost is up to 48-ish. WHOOPS. :-laf
What would you say to a 215 pumped, #4 plated truck NOT making a DRAM of black smoke? YOU know who you are. I say the AFC isn't working "properly".
