Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Just meet a new guy here at work, 99 4x4 5 speed QC. Name is "HooK". Sounds like another good prospect. We done the meet and greet and he says he wants "a little more horsepower" for pulling his trailer. I warned him of the bomb bug. He should be reading in on this... Gonna take him for a ride and set the "hook" :D
 
Hain't done much with mine of late, but my sister now has the prettiest little BLUE sport (2000,4x4,Quad,5sp,3. 54-every option except the seats, bed cover) you ever seen. ;) 235/460 is about all the power she needs--for now anyway.



Running to DFW tonight for a 215 12v. I'm going to let him get used to 215 before I start moving stuff around on it. He's going for GAUGES FIRST! (I think he's been lurking). Wes Thomson is his name but me and family call him Bubba. And sometimes MGB or "Machine Gun Bubba". He also has a fifty cal single shot.



He'll show up here eventually.



House next door burned down last night. Good thing it was a 1/2 mile away. Long story on that one.



'Bout ready to do a clutch, a preporator, and some turbo tuning. :D



OH, and girlfriend is looking at a house (to buy) with a shop that'll hold TWO CTD's. Oo.

I heard that it was in the news.

The lil' house next door, is that one that was "fire bombed" and where parts of Jeff Bell were found a while back. They've been digging and scratching over there for a while.



Somebody moved Dallas on me. Didn't remember it being that far away. 1,500 miles in 29 hours with three of those hours being sleep. In the rain all the way back. Bubba got a pretty good, one-owner truck. ONLY thing done under the hood is Remote Filter. (Fiendish Laugh):D



And my truck turned 100,000. DAMN! There went the warranty!:-laf :-laf :-laf
 
Lost in a snow drift.

HOOH BOY, we gots some snow this time. 8-10 inches around here.



So I'm out fooling around the the 4x4. Take the girls back to the woods--deeper out there. :rolleyes:



And then I get sorta hung up. And then I get almost out but over on a stump. So then I have to go back forward (down the slope) And then I get over into some trees. In the meanwhile I've aired down the tires and moved all the cargo (firewood) back to the tailgate as well as fired up the saw and cut some of the trees out of the way. (Jonsered saws ROCK--three pull start after being snowed on all day--both saws, as one ran out of gas and I have two--but that's another story. )



And then I start making phone calls. :eek:



The tractor guys say the diesels won't start. I finally get a neighbor with a 4x4 Nissayota to come out.



Didn't budge it.



So we hopped a ride back out to the high plains.



Truck is in the woods. Guess it'll come out tomorrow after the big thaw.



Still like the snow. Just need some BUCKSHOTS! Oo.

Hey Wade for a slight nominal fee I will come tug your truck out tomorrow :p :-laf seeing as I'm off and have to wait for Ken to get off work @ 5pm to install my lift pump. :rolleyes:

well wade, i got a little bit of news. i got up at 4:45 am yesterday and left for ohio at 5:15. picked up my 95 and got back home at 1:15 am. got a little bit of work to do to it before it is ready. but it's getting closer. later.



on another note, does anybody here need a light duty transfer case or a mag hytec dana 70 cover? i will be posting them for sale soon. just thought that i would let ya'll have the first shot at them.

Good news! Acquisition of a 215 pump was approved by management today. :D :cool: Oo.



No more fighting the 160 marble box.



70 cover eh?, nah--I expect an 80 will go under there soon enough. Besides, I still need traction bars and airbags. :rolleyes:



I drove Meacham's Red truck the other day. 215-pump, 370's, B1 quick spool, FE, 4k GSK, leaky head gasket, 5-speed. FUN FUN!



Meacham's White truck----well it's having the airflow and head situation addressed. ;)



Well, I will say that I saw a 100psi boost gauge recently. Go figger!



Hey Nick, I'm wanting to convert mine to a 5 or 6 speed. Is that any trouble?:p

Installing 370's tomorrow.

Well Wade you know because I spoke with you this afternoon on the phone, but I'm planning on installing my PDR 370's tomorrow in preporation for my 13" FE that should be here Wednesday!:rolleyes: Oo. (shoulda been here Friday!:-{} )



Anyways I want to "break it in" with just the 370's and the factory plate to see how much more the 370's give my truck.



I've got a 16cm housing that I will hopefully be able to run on my truck for a while to check EGT's once the #10 goes back in, but my buddy that it belongs to in OH. is screaming "I want it back" because he's got a new SBC Dual Disk he was supposed to have installed today!



Once I get my clutch installed and get my core charge back on my flywheel I am either sending my HX35 or Meacham's WH1C off his 94 to High Tech Turbo for their stage III hybriding which should make it almost the equivalent of a Dodgezilla turbo I believe? :confused:



I'm hoping that this will really hell in th EGT department, and I already have a HX40 compressor housing that HTT use's in their hybridding so that's $$$ I save! Oo.



Anybody been checking the thread on the group purchase of the TAG's? I'm in for one of those as well because they say it cuts down the turbo whine of a Scotty II by 50%!! :eek: and I will need it once I go to that HX40 compressor housing and lose my silencer ring! Call me what you want, but guys I drive A LOT more than "some" of you ::coughwadepattoncough:: do, especially come summer time and truck pull season!Oo.



Oh well that's all for now... ... Wade call me @ the house tomorrow and let me know what's up but I think I'm gonna school dad in CTD mechanics tomorrow. :-laf
 
Bomb-itis

Fellas, I am crossing over to the dark side. The TDR has finally corrupted me. I bought my truck because of the reliability of the engine and the fuel economy. Never dreamed of tuning it. I have seen what Wade, Meacham, Red, and Nick have done to their trucks. Now I want some of that.



Had a Hemi powered Dodge want to race me Sat. night. Don't know why?!? I want to be able to beat punks like that!!



So, this is what I have planned (probably in this order):



1. Diesel Dynamics UFM box

2. New SB clutch (and upgrade to fully splined shaft)

3. New DPP 4" 409 S/S Exhaust

4. Wildcat Fuel flow kit

5. Pusher fuel pump

6. Afe intake

7. New injectors (probably DD3's)

8. Turbo upgrade



I want around 450 RWHP. Got 220 RWHP right now with just a BHAF. I have the basics down right now (gauges, shocks, tires, new LP, working on steering). Got the platform down, now I am ready to build.



Anything that I am overlooking? Is this order of mods the a good way to go? Seeking your divine guidance you dark lords of power!!!



Now I have to get some money together for my new power junkie habit.
