Mark, nobody in the nashville area carries that tire any more. that being said your support if you have a problem is very hard to get. i recommend going to a different brand. i would also need a size.

Found out last night "friend of a friend" has a set of 3 MT Classic Wheels & 305/70/16 Remington Mud Brutes that are basically new for $200. Truck got flipped 3 days after install, ruined a tire & wheel. Still trying to find out if I can get them, was just wanting to see if you could get me a mate. Hadn't checked in a while, but they were very popular with the farmers and young "muddin" crowd around Gallatin and I had two set on my Toyota when I was 16. Really good tire, would be a shame if nobody carried them anymore. :(

Hey Mark,

Call 615-666-5554 ask for W. C. I gotta friend that just got a set of mud brutes about a month a go. They are closed on sat, but he can usually get them the next day. I got three 16x8 MT if you need one to put a tire on.

I think you got a pretty good shot at winning the pull in lafayette if you decide to pull there. Big Ben's truck won't be running then :-laf

Ashley you just made my day with that last comment! :-laf I will definately need the mud brutes to get towards the end of the track though. Did you see the fall mud run last year? I was in KY pulling a sled, but my Cuz Dilbert took my old black truck, and I saw the video. It looked like a freak'n swamp. :( Hope they don't repeat that process tomorrow night.

I appreciate the info Ashley... I will check with that guy on a 4th M-B on Monday. Went and looked at them today... . one of the 3 has a bad spot in the sidewall, he said a buddy at a Portland Tire shop would Road Hazzard it... . I held onto my $$$ and told him to find out for sure in the AM and call me. Dilberts gonna buy the M/T Classics from me, and then I'm gonna use that $$ to buy 4 black steelies for the Big Bad Dodge look. Oo. Oo. :-laf

Well, she runs pretty good. Turbo sounds wicked at parking lot speeds  . Pulls great from the bottom, then there's a bit of a dead spot, THEN HANG ON 25 to 40 psi in an eyeblink.

Have idle and top rpm issues, will monkey with that tomorrow. "Hitting a wall" rpm-wise at 2600. I don't think it was that way before. Adjusted linkage one way and it helped. Then idle dropped. Adjusted more same way, no change but got idle back up. Going into AFC tomorrow to add a click to the springs and going to set up throttle rod exactly same length as the green one. Will also attend to the wastegate and other parts that need to be put back on.

Mabye another test drive or two, now that it's dark out. First time I hammered it at 10psi, I completely covered a lane of traffic. FaWhoops. :p

Hey Wade why don't you bring the green 'un on out to Lafayette next Saturday night? Non-sanctioned 8500 street diesel. You can use my Dueler A/T's if ya want. ;) :-laf

If I gets the head snugged down, I might just do that--and some tires.

Mud Brutes are hard to find. I'm looking at some Interco-Super Swampers, Cooper STT, Maxxis Buckshots, and such.

Really looking for Cooper, but the Interco's come in 10ply. My local guy can't get Cooper.

Hey SquareRubbers can you gets any of those? 285/75/16 or 33-ish

I've found out about 2 more places besides one in Gallatin that sells them. Gonna call about some prices tomorrow, local guy wants $165 M'd&B'd gonna see if Lafayette or Portland can get them cheaper. We've got a pretty hardcore 4x4 shop here in Gallatin called "Trail Works Off-Road" guy running it is named Brent Mann # is 615-218-8070. He can get probably any Intero + plenty more tires you need. I'm gonna order my black steelies through him tomorrow. I don't know about Coopers, but pretty much every ride in his shop is running some sort of Super Swampers though. Give him a call and tell him I sent ya ;)

I haven't checked with my local guy yet. I'm looking hard at the STS Interco--lot of rubber, but plenty aggressive--and in 10-ply.

The COOP handles Maxxis here, but I'd rather not buy from them. I read somewhere that Cooper makes ProComp. I can get ProComps discounted through the battery guy.

BTW he may have some group 27's (OEM battery for our trucks) I can sell for 75 a PAIR. But he's got a trip coming up and it may be a week or two. PM me.

Do a search on here..... some guys used to run them but they only got like 28-30K miles out of them. Which is probably really good for what they are, but I think they were towing 5'ers too.

Call Brent he can get 'em for sure. ;)

Wade,

There is a place in scottsville that sells Cooper tires CHEAP!!! 270-622-7555

If you got a set from there i could pick them up and bring them to lebanon im in that area about three days a week.

Mark,

The place in lafayette i told you about can get wheels cheap also might be worth checking on the 'black steelies" If you get some thing from them i could pick them up and bring them to Gallatin or westmoreland. Im through there daily

Ashley that would be AWESOME! if he turns out to be the cheapest on the 4th tire, pretty sure I will get them cheapest through my 4x4 shop but I will check. We need a matching M/T Classic II 16x10 for Dilbert too.

Now if you would just please PM me a contact # :-laf :p

Looking for a Radiator Shop - Heater Core Rebuild

Hey does anyone know of a radiator shop in the Mid-Tenn area? I need the heater core out of my Isuzu rebuilt and we don't have anyone that does them in Hohenwald anymore. The cheapest I can get a new one for is $230. I need to fine someone really quick because this is holding up progress on the interior. Please get in touch with me if you know anyone that could help.

On another note, I'm getting pretty good mileage with the "fuel squeezer" mode on the Smarty. I went to Mableton, Georgia to see Kansas (the band, not the state :p ) last night and averaged 21. 52 MPG going down there. I feel like it could be even better on a solid highway run. There was some Hohenwald driving in there, a bit of idling, and I got help held up in construction traffic north of Atlanta.

hans there are a couple of shops in the smyrna mufreesboro area that we use at the shop quit abite, i can check and see how busy they are if you want to use them.

Hans,

I've had great service from A-1 Radiator. They are on Nolensville Road down around the fairgrounds. If you came in on I-440 take a left toward the fairgrounds. They're on the left right before you cross the RR tracks. Place looks pretty rough but they've always done great work for us and I've never heard anything but good from them. We send them alot of MC stuff.

If anyone knows of a fan shroud for a '92 CTD I need one, I've called all of the junkyards around the mid-TN area and been searching online now for 3 months, just keep me in mind please, thanks.

Eddie - thanks for the info. Could you get me some phone numbers for those places?

Scott - I'll try to look up A-1 and see what they say about my heater core.
