Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Wade,

Never been catfishing, sounds like one I need to do on my life list, then we can go froggin. What you are describing sound like the kinda fun we had on my only coon hunt in the hills and hollers of Ritchie County, WV. What a night we had, dogs running all over the hills, tracking collars, a brick of 22 to induce lead poisoning and a couple of retired coal miners from near Beckley WV as my memory makers for the night, hats off to my friends Howard and Trapper, two coons on the tailgate by about 3AM, then squirrel hunting the next AM.

Man I wish I had some vacation time to burn!

I haven't been on one of them all-night catfishing trips in YEARS.

L

Well I didn't go last year.

Just go to work and put your head down on the desk like Gap does. :-laf

Rural WV--a beautiful thing... bears and all. We took some "California Cousins" of impressionable age (too young to drink without daddy in the boat) out froggin on the same place many years ago. We heard later that that's all they talked about for the rest of the summer--maybe we converted some little liberals. ;) They probably still see us as 8-foot tall and strongly resembling Larry the Cable Guy. :D

Oh yeah, twern't no gigs used. It was all by hand. And the boat only slid off the truck once. And we knocked the tailpipe off (Wagoneer)scouting the back pond. And no beers spilled in the boat. :-laf

and Thanks Nick, maybe I'll get my phone fixed today too.

you gonna sell any parts off that salvage truck?

Eddie

Yeah, I'll sell everthing I don't want for a spare. ;) So far that's a fan clutch, a sport bumper (intense blue), window washer tank/pump...

What do you need?

The running gear is going under my 95. Most of the body panels are shot and I'm going to use a lot of the little parts to fix up my others. Mark has dibs on the headlights, ifn I don't keep them.

Verizon had a line out the door, so I'll be cellphoneless for a while.

Nick, shoot me Robert's number in PM or here. Shop number is 615 563 6930.

with all the problems coming up with NV 5600 trannies i was thinking about trying to come up with a spare just in case i ever need one, sounds like they are getting hard to find an expensive to repair, you dont have a line on where to get one do you.

or another set of sport headlights?

Thanks Eddie

This is the 2000 Quad Sport 4x4 Shortie that my sister got run over in... a year ago May 13. Big truck rammed her and broke her neck, kids okay. She has recovered mostly. Suit filed.

Bumper cover has old repair--otherwise fine. I'm thinking I'll keep the fogs. I try to price things according to what they're going for on eBay. Or make offer. Sport running boards look okay too--but I might use 'em.

And I have a big propane shop heater-- 450k BTU power-vented permanent type--for sale. As well as four 400watt hi-bay metal halide lights. $75 each on the lights with bulbs, cords, hooks.

What trouble with 5600's? Mine drives better than ever with 133k on it, but it's the early model. This truck has a 4500--destined for the Green One. Nick has been through a few 5600's. Buying a totaled truck is probably the most cost effective way to get one. Just hope it ain't yourn.

Glad your sister is doing well, my grandfather was ran over by a nashville Birginham express back in 97, took over 3 hours to cut him out and he lived another 10 years afterwards, was 82 when he passed in 03

About the transmissons just seemed like here lately there is alot of threads poping up about the syncro's in them.

guess i just like to be prepaired, just incase of the worst

Thanks eddie

Wade is the passenger seat bracket intact? My handle cracked @ the rivot that attached it to the release mechanism to adjust your seat. It can still be done but its something that ryhmes with witch! ;)

Thanks Nick. I'll have it out today.

Passenger seat is undamaged--So I have sell it as a unit. Driver seat is broken--so I'm taking the bracketry and replacing the elective seat in the Green One.

I don't know how much. I haven't taken the time to look it up or think about it much. Don't see any offer made either.

On the 5600/4500: I figger that a 4500 with an uprated input shaft is plenty strong for me. One less gear to shift, and a much simpler/cheaper box to work on--if it needs work.

Robert Tucker--how in heck did you pull that front driveshaft when we dropped the transfer case on the Red truck? I know they were my tools, but I haven't found the combination yet. Of course the x-member is out now and things are easier to get to.

I've still got a couple of those chickens left, the goat, the rabbit dog got the mange, but I'll throw in a good frog gig so you don't have to get your hands dirty, but you'll have to throw me a little boot. :-laf

Scott

Not with the crossmember out of the way. RacerRob did that part on the Red truck when we went into the back of the transmission. Don't know how he managed that. And this truck, unlike the Red one, has had extremely few bolts ever turned on it. Everything is (was) factory tight. No sign that the clutch had ever been replaced.

Just got the transmission on the floor. Going back up top to get the last few thingys loose and snatch that monster outta there. ;)

Guess I'll call Robert T.

Engine out.

I don't think a feller can really comprehend the massiveness of this 5. 9 until you wrestle one out of an engine bay--hoping you don't twist up your hoist or break your chain.

Makes the transmission look like a golfball. :-laf

Now, wonder if the boat will run. :p

Found B20 Biodiesel in Manchester. Small shop just west of 53/41 junction on 41. Don't know the hours yet. They close early.

Boat does run. Caught one crappie, one channel, one Jack Russell and one Yellow Lab. Caught the dogs twice each. Landing a 65# retriever can be a challenge. :p

Here's video for anyone wanting to see how stupid CCD got this past weekend @ IRP! He's the one with the blue bandanna and white Hooters shirt (at times). Also towards the end of the video is footage taken from far off as a drunken idiot doing donuts crashed into two trucks... right around the 3:50min/sec mark.

Video was shot/edited/composed/produced by Matt Johnson "PoneymanfiveO" of KYDTR! :D

:Warning: Contains Some Graphic Langauge!
