That wasn't fishing. I was fooling around making sure the boat would start and run and seefin the baitfish would hit. Going all night tonight without the dogs. Anybody want to go? Leave message at 765 5522 before 4pm and meet me at Normandy dam launch ramp around 5pm. :p

Motor is in back of GM 2500 and headed west.

July 4th. 2006

Mid-TN TDR,

Wishing you all a safe and super turbo charged 4th of July.

Fly Old Glory, stand tall when she is leading the parade, go ooh and aah when the fireworks dazzle the sky and shake a Veterans hand.

A grateful American.

Caught 12 baitfish  36 mudbugs ;) one big bullfrog :p and two catfish--one 24" and the other 30" (about 4 and 10# I'd guess). But they were blue cats :{ . Tried to give them away. Put 'em back in the water.

I knew my bait was too small.

Now I'm catching breakfast and a nap. :D

I've still got a couple of those chickens left, the goat, the rabbit dog got the mange, but I'll throw in a good frog gig so you don't have to get your hands dirty, but you'll have to throw me a little boot. :-laf

Since Wade doesn't seem interested in my offer, anybody want to come over for a cookout? ;)

Wade, I don't see any on Ebay or in the classifieds. I have no idea what to offer for a 2nd gen sport bumper. I'd like to have it if I can afford it.

I'll take 100# of Lousiana Mudbugs and 50# of Gulf Shrimp with a side of 2 sacks of Apalachicola Oysters. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmm. :p

Scott, I'll let you know when I calculate what I want for it in USD. :)

Anybody know if you can get more power out of a '94 6. 5? Buddy of mine bought one of those. I know, friends don't let friends...

Pop bang oooh aahh. (fireworks)

Alternate fuel pump

What type of fuel supply pumps are the 24v owners in the group running? I have a new OEM lift pump that I have not installed yet. This might help. The problem I'm having is with the Juice in settings 3 or higher and WOT the fuel pressure drops to zero. If you ease into it, the fuel psi usually will not drop below 6-7 psi. Once up to speed and cruising the psi will stay 10-13.

Just wondering what your using and approximate cost.

I usually just back out of it when the pressure drops. What worries me is how many 2-3 sec. 0 psi moments can the VP44 stand. I'm pushing 185,000 on original VP and would like to keep the counter going.

Thanks,

Anthony

Well, I did the GSK washer thingy today. Seems to be fine. Idle is right where it was. It doesn't want to free rev, smokes, spits, and sputters revving in neutral, but under a load she's GREAT! Pulls HARD to @2800 and quits fueling around 3K. Go pedal seems a bit touchier than it was. I also checked my gov-lever while I was in there. It was hitting right on the lower point on my home-grown #10 plate so I left it alone.

I found that my boot on my shut-off solenoid is toast. I just ripped it off. Is this going to cause me a problem? I've been itching to do the cable thing anyway.

Also re-covered my headliner. The biggest problem was getting the old foam backing off. I tried every tool I could get my hands on and finally settled on a 4" pizza cutter to get the bulk off and a piece of scotch-brite to finish it off. Cost me @$30 for supplies (plus a new pizza cutter to staisfy the wife! :-laf )

Added some pics of my CB installation and lanyard valve for my horns in my Readers Rig Gallery if anyones interested.

By the way, my wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary last Thursday! :D

How much you looking to spend? I bit the bullet and bought the RASP pump flom Opoole when my vp44 went south. Im running tst comp and bully dog stack and when i set both boxes on KILL i can't pull the fuel psi down it only goes up. I think the price on the rasp has went down since i bought mine

GC Shooter, 99 Supercab and I just installed Glacier Diesel's new kit with the Walbro 392 pump, and just let me tell you, this kit is top notch. Install was a breeze, pump is very quiet and does it ever pump some fuel. I could always run out of fuel with my TST cranked up, but now it pulls strong all the way to the redline. I think that for the money this is the best kit out there! I think Josh and Kerry will agree with me!!

just thought i would throw a pic of my birthday present out for you all to see, my first motor cycle  . and my play truck which i think i got the clutch fixed on finally.

Eddie

its a 1981 CM 400 Custom with 4800 actual miles, been in storage for about 10 years in michigan, but with some elbow grease and a few new parts will make a nice bike.

Thanks Eddie

Definately great kit. The drag racing was awesome too. I think we all did very well for what we have.

My best time was a 9. 36 @ 75. 63mph, Dad ran a 9. 6, and I think Justin ran a 10. 1. Ya`ll correct me if I`m wrong on those numbers.

Anthony, Few of us around dickson are using the Carter 4601 (8psi) as a pusher, and I'm using the Carter 4601-HP (15psi) as a pusher due to my factory lift pump is dying. I used the pigtail cable off a old lift pump so I could keep my factory wiring in tact. I'm gonna move my 4601HP - 15psi pump up to the factory lift pump location and then put a 4601 - 8psi on as a pusher when the factory lift pump dies.

They are about $100/ea including shipping online. They are the same pump as the factory one. Just the studs are different. Just swap the studs from the OEM pump. OEM lift pumps are about $160ish, so it'll save you some bucks if'n you ever need to replace.

I've seen the walbro installed too, it is a nice setup if you want a "kit". I've just been kinda playing around, kinda like the little "buzz" the carter makes. Let's me know it's still there :D

FYI, I'm ordering a new steering box when Chip/Power Steering Services (www.powersteering.com) gets back from vacation on the 10th. Replacing the 4. 25 turn box with a 3 turn. It's supposed to fix the wandering. Mine has gotten pretty bad. It's a constant 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock fight keeping it between the mustard and mayonnaise.

Stayed at my wife's brother's house on a canal off of the innercoastal waterway.

5 days of fishing and beer cosuming, we're back... ... soon as I can find the camera and re-size some pics, I'll show you a couple of barracudas, a nice snook, an ugly S. O. B. grouper, and a grin on a 10 year old that you couldn't slap off. :D

Still glad to be back
