FYI, I'm ordering a new steering box when Chip/Power Steering Services (www.powersteering.com) gets back from vacation on the 10th. Replacing the 4. 25 turn box with a 3 turn. It's supposed to fix the wandering. Mine has gotten pretty bad. It's a constant 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock fight keeping it between the mustard and mayonnaise.

Hmm, I don't see a DSS Steering Stablizer in your signature.
It sounds like you NEED one!

Well, heard some of yall were going to pull at Scottsville last night. What happened?

Well there was roughly 8-10 trucks there that pulled. 2 Classes both 8500 and OVER? :confused: 1)Street = 8500+lbs & 26" hitch no hanging weights and no nitrous/propane. 2) Open = 8500lbs+ 26" hitch anything else goes.

Chris newsome was there with Terry & Ginger as well. He just got his truck back together from a full rebuild not to long ago. He had traction issues as his BFG AT's were bald. Never seemed like he fully got his going though, I dunno what it was but it never seemed fully lit.

Me & a buddy of mine Josh Layton from Glasgow with an '06 Megacab with 2 boxes, FASS, & SBC DD both went out the gate like it was a gooseneck trailer twice :D

They made us pull off again... ... I tried to get him to split the money with me cause he paid my entry fee for Open because he wanted me to pull with him. He would do it so I pulled the 2nd pull off... . started hoping @ 95Ft. clutched it and coasted to 99 & change. He had the advantage knew to feather it out and got 200+ feet and the win. I dropped open class after that..... good thing too. Drove all the way back to Gallatin (lil less than 100 miles) no problem, turned the first corner and :eek: my truck hopped violently. Didn't care went to bed, pulled the rear diff cover yesterday spider gears. :{

She's at my buddys shop Trail Works Off-Road in gallatin now while I try and find the cheapest price possible on a detroit. Still not sure if I'm gonna go that route or not. :confused: Mike & Nick told me I needed to go ahead and just take a open carrier and weld the spiders it'd be just as good and cheaper, but next time it would be an axle. :(

Oh well not sure what I'm gonna do. I went to Stanford KY last night to watch a BIG pull. Mike & Nick showed up just in time for the open class... ... literally. They rolled in, unloaded, and went straight across the scales. Nick pulled 283 I believe and Mike had issues and didn't get down the track. Good to see those guys again hope y'all had a safe trip home. ;)

Here's Scottsville Video if anyones interested. There were a couple of Duramax's that weren't shown but they were stock or barely modified.

Thanks for the report(s). My pulling season is looking more like 2007. :rolleyes:

Got Gears?... Lincoln locker. :p (the welded up type for those :confused: )

Some upgrades are forced upon us.

Terry didn't hook? Chris is working at Meacham's, right?

Terry is trying to find a good deal on a dual disk, but he already has upgraded to the bigger shaft cause he busted the stocker. Chris is now working for Cedar City Diesel yes. They rolled in in style following me with a bright red '05 Dually and matching red 24Ft Goose with Chris's truck on the back. ;) :-laf That's probably the only reason I originally agreed to pull with my buddy Josh in the open class..... I *knew* I could get home one way or another. Dilbert & I almost have our gooseneck ready for use. We completely rewired it last week, still have some brake work to do though. Now we need metal and lots of it to fix this hacked together 4ft dovetail that was added to an original 20 Ft goose. We did not realize this until after we bought the trailer. :rolleyes: After we get the dovetail fixed, then we have to move on to the neck and getting our 12K Milemarker mounted. Oo.

Find out tomorrow whether or not I can put a detroit in my truck. My truck *must* have 35 spline axles in order for me to do so. A had a very informed friend tell me that most Dana 80's in 2500's are hybrid's that only have 32 splined axles. If that's the case with mine I don't have any options except rebuilding the stock limited slip which cost only $100 less than a detroit. :rolleyes: :{

Can you not purchase 35 spline axles? :p $$$$$$$$$$ Power costs money. ;)

Who all is coming to my house Sunday?!? Anyone? There has been hardly any discussion in the thread I hope we still have a decent turn out. I've also opened it to my KYDTR club as well as they had not had a July meeting yet.

I doubt many of them will drive all the way down, but I didn't know if we're gonna have a really low # this year or not. I hope not hope to see all of you out here Sunday, but I realize some have already said they can't make it.

Dyno Chattanooga coming up. Dunbar's machine--all makes gas/bikes/diesel. Hosted by the guy with the Wild and Wicked Ricer that was at Bean's.

Details when I find the flier. :rolleyes: :p

I should have my truck back to me "detroited" tomorrow! Oo.

I talked with him about doing welded spiders like Nick suggested and he advised against it for a few reasons. He knows his stuff when it comes to this so I took his advise. No, he didn't advise it just to fatten his wallet off me either he actually got me the best possible deal around. ;) :D

bad luck

Mark,

Sorry for the bad luck. Truck just does not look right going down the track with the smoke coming out the back instead of the stacks. Tell Brent I said hello. I've known him since kindergarten, but lost touch since high school. See if he wants to come to the meeting. I think he has a grey dually Dodge.

Just got back from Colorado. Beautiful country. Still snow on top of the mountains.

See everyone Sunday.

I will tell him tommorrow hopefully when I pick up my truck tomorrow. I know it doesn't look right... ... my father even said so... while videoing :-laf

There is a pull coming up in Lafayette next month... . possibly my last pull for the year after this carnage. I will have the stacks interchangeable, my whole plan to begin with before then. ;) This time I will have my miter cuts in and the smoke will go straight up! Oo.

Man I'm really a disgrace to my name in this pic. :( Finally got that figured out though this is an old pic.

Who knows about stacking boxes? i had a wild hair the other day to switch the way i plugged them in and when i did my truck accelerated smoother and it smoked a little more bottom end.

The way (and original way) they are stacked is starting at the map sensor in the head{}tst comp{}bully dog{}map pigtail.

Will it hurt to switch the order? My thinking was tst reads boost to add fuel right? Bullydog fools boost right? Would the tst see full boost from the get go?
