October 2nd Meeting

Hello all, it looks like the majority of everyone is in for a meeting on the 2nd. I'll give some details - currently, I have a limited array of tools, so if any of you are needing to do some work at the meeting, you might want to consider bringing any specialty tools. I've got your basic mechanic's tools, floor jack, jack stands, and power tools but if any of you are looking to do something that requires an odd tool, you might want to bring it with you. I don't have my big compressor at the garage yet, so we won't have any air either. All that's over there is a small, portable compressor that has trouble taking my lug nuts off.

I guess I need to know what's expected on my end. I can arrange for a grill to be over there or a fish cooker if anyone knows where to get any good fillets. A fish fry would be pretty nice. :D As I said before, the house is basically gutted inside with the exception of one bathroom. So any cooking we do will have to be outside. I've got plenty of coolers but I do need to know what food I need to get and anything else that you can think of.

If any of you would just like to call and talk about it and give me some details, my cell number is (931) 306-9161. I probably need to get in touch with Wade pretty soon too.

I'll give some directions in a later message and I can also email some maps to anyone that will need them.

Let's try to have some kind of a roll call so I can have some kind of idea who coming and who's not.

I second the motion... all in favor-

Hans, Sorry I didn't get to call you back today. Will try tomorrow.

And I can donate some fish, right out of the Duck, and I think I'll have an icy cold beverage right now...

Good news for the fish fry idea. My mother and aunt have graciously offered to "cater" the entire meal. So now we're talkin' catfish fillets, hush puppies, fries, slaw, and white beans - all the fixins. I could probably also take some requests for some favorite desserts.

The catch is we'll probably have to take up a small collection to cover the costs if that's ok with everyone. Hamburgers and hot dogs are ok, but I know a lot of you are coming a long way to make the meeting so I thought it would be better to have something a little nicer.

Again, if the idea is ok with everyone, I need to get a roll call so I can arrange for how much of everything to be buying. They say to figure about a 1/2 pound per person as far as fish goes so that will give me a little idea to start with.

Just let me know...

Who broke what and where?!?!

Listen to this about Haisley's "Rock Hard Ram"

All i can say was it was pretty F&$#( wild when that thing came apart.

He was comin on with it and hooked into the track much better then kent and terry (it was a BFG at track)

the rear tire blew and when it did the front end comenced to dragging the front axle out of the truck. Broke both driver side ball joints and dynatrack axles.

Thanks to everyone (if anyone that helped reads this) for helping get that thing on the trailer and for your patinece while we tied the track up for 30mins. Everyone really appreciated it and we were able to ge the truck loaded with no front tire on it and a spare on the back and not damage the truck anymore.

And the best part was nobody got hurt.

Gap, mine were turnouts, what Nick is talking about are called "Bull Haulers" I wanted a set badly for my 97 but they are $150 a piece vs. $50 a pop for my regular ones.

Here's some "Bull Haulers"

About half way home from work tonight I look at the fuel pressure gauge and it reads ZERO! I shut the truck off, restart, and ZERO. Limped it home and restarted 7 psi. I called Cummins but it was too late to make it before they closed. Does $163 sound right. No warning signs at all. Going out now to change the filter in hopes I will have some luck. :(

I paid about $150 to Mid-Tenn Ford a couple of years ago. 163 sounds right on. Ken Tenpenny bought one a week ago.

Yeah, I know I've got supply pump work to do. Right after the 9th, I can put my "big" turbo back on the red truck and proceed down that path.

OK, i cracked a fuel line and bumbed the starter and had pressure. Tightened line, started and had 9psi. Changed filter, cracked line, bumped starter, started and had 13psi like normal. Drove it a couple of miles and it was normal. Let it sit for 15 min. and started and had 11psi. Some thing is wrong. The fuel don't smell or feel like it should. I am going to have it tested tommorow.

You got the wrong diesel, you got the kind made for fords, that makes your truck run like crap! :)

Don't know dude, seems wierd. I wouldn't rule out a bad fit pump still. I have heard they can either die slow or just up and quit.

Did you just fill up or get fuel? Where did the fuel come from that didn't look/feel right, Filter Canister?

I got my transmission fixed. It was doing second gear starts. It was the Governor Pressure Solenoid($108) and Governor Pressure Sensor ($62) on the valve body. Got to get my new concrete greasy for the first time! It's just had saw dust on it till now.
