Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Hans I had to go back and read to see what you were talking about because I wasn't fired from that dealership. That was a story that Wade made up..... you musta skimmed over the "nah we were good boys" a little ways down ;) :-laf

Another thing..... I beat Wade to 400HP :p ... . its about 2-3 pages deeper into the thread than that getting fired story. :-laf

Had a bet going with a mustang guy at the dealership... ... was nice to walk in Monday morning and hand him the dyno sheet!! :-laf Oo.

Ahhh, I see... more of Wade's humor. Well it was a good story nevertheless...

And I should have given you your credit when it was due, you did beat Wade to 400!

Ryan Bean is having a grand opening of Bean's Diesel Performance in Woodbury on the 5th of March. Buncha Fords from all over will be there. He called me to see if I could stir up some Cummins folks.

I'ma gonna try and make it. Bean seems like a hellaniceguy

Also,

Andy mentioned TS Performance's Open House on May 6.

May 7 is TS's "all diesel challenge" at Beech Bend. Might be

a good test and tune for some certain white truck ;) ;)

misbehavin'

I had the cops called on me not too long ago. Something about a lot of smoke (black and white) and some circular tire tracks in the parking area.

After I left, the blues showed up--and was relayed to me by a person still on the scene. I took evasive maneuvers until I got out of town. The have cameras all over the place in that city, but I know where most of them are. ;)

But I did get clipped three times last year for about $600 in fines. ouch.

 :-laf Wade!

I was going to take a seperate pair of tires to burn up in Indiana in June, but everybody keeps saying the cops are going to be VERY hard on people so I just gave up that idea. :(

I'm still here, just lying in wait, for some funds that is.

I've finally got a fix for my ailing auto, a 5-speed. I hope to get it in this weekend, then let the bombs begin(after I find a little more money!)! I found everything I'll need out of a totaled-out '94. Look's like the transmission has just been rebuilt complete with a new input shaft. I don't think I'll ever get as far out there as Meachum, Wade, Mark, or any of you other fellas over the 400 mark so I went with a Con O.

As far as the meetings go, I was at the January meeting last year at Gap's and even got to ride in Wade's green truck. I have to work every Saturday so it's hard to make it.

Sorry for the long update,

Scott

Who all is planning on attending Bean's open house this Saturday?

Hans & Paul both of you mentioned it? I just now thought about calling Terry Johnson, but he will probably be busy if the weather holds out.

Personally I don't work Saturdays, and I am planning on going and dragging along cousin Dilbert so he can drool over some powerpokes. :-laf I just don't want to be the only Cummins in a lot full of powerpokes.

Who all is planning on attending TS Performance's open house on May 6th? I requested off from work for that one, and the g/f and I should be there around 10:30-11 (8am-9am class @ Vol. State).

Mark - if you're going I'll be there. I didn't want to be the only Cummins either. Paul will probably go if we twist his arm hard enough. ;)

Hey call Meacham if you think he'll go.

Yeah, I'm going to be there. It's too close to the house not to. Maybe we can get my neighbor Jay to come also.

So that's a 12v, 24v, and a 3rd gen..... all we need is a 1st gen..... Jay, call your brother :-laf

Time?... Anybody?

May 6th --Planning to (get ready for a news flash). . TAKE A DAY OFF and go to TS's shop Oo.

Hey Scott! Good to see you're still kickin'! I saw you in wal-mart (springfield) back during x-mas. . You had kids I had kids screaming, so I smiled and kept walking. Wasn't sure if you'd remember me or not... much less be able to hear me over screamin' young'uns.

How's my Rancher running? Good I hope.

Glad to hear it!! You guys'll like Dennis and his crew.

I'll be drivin' or ridin'. If I get timbrens or air-bags, I'll have Fegers GreenMachine in tow. Otherwise, mine get's to ride and relax. Can't believe I didn't get overload springs from the factory!

Sold the 275's - On to EDM's!!

Hey fellas - thought I'd give you an update on what's going on with my rig. I sold those puny little 275's that I never put in and I'm thinking about just getting a set of Don's 1. 5/1. 6's for now until I can get some cash built up. My original plan was to get Mach 3's or 4's and get a turbo. But I've come to the realization that I don't have enough cash for both, and barely enough if I wanted the bigger injectors.

So until the summer rolls around, I'm gonna get a smaller set and then we'll see what happens. I've gotta get a set in this thing though - it's like my truck's naked without 'em! LOL, sounds strange coming from a guy who drove a stock truck around for a year and a half before doing anything to it. :-laf

I didn't really want to get into tapping the pump wire just yet, but I figured if the 1. 6's weren't enough, I could always stack a TST with my EZ! :D But I am concerned about compromising the pump. Can anybody convince me that this is relatively safe and that I won't be hurting my engine in the long run? I know the point is horsepower, but I do plan on keeping this truck for a while too.

Whadda ya think?

Someone smarter than I will give more information, but for my . 02... .

Increases in HP = Decreases in longevity.

How much? I don't know that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not banging you or anyone else. I'm all for mo' power. I'm just saying, you have to look at it objectively... . More air, more fuel, more heat, faster moving parts. Unfortunately it's not like a human musscle which gets stronger the more you work it.

Sorry about that slap in the face... . I don't mean anything by it. Feel free to slap back. :(

Get your Air Dog installed, the get the FP gauge worked out, and get a blue chip pump cover for the fueling box of your choice and that way if you start see probs with the pump you can remove the box and if you still have warrenty get it replaced. Simple enough? ;) :-laf Oo.

Bhaf

If anybody has a used bhaf just laying around, I'd like to borrow it to see what it would take to fit one into my truck. I hate to spend 50+ just to find out it's too much trouble

Hey Andy - Thanks for the kindergarten lesson in diesel power and longevity! :-laf :D

Just joking with ya, I know all that but I really want to know what it will do to the pump. I guess it all depends on how you drive the truck right?

Mark - your idea is deceitful, evading, dishonest, unethical - and I love it! :-laf Oo.
