Diesel @ $2.01/Gal

Cheapest I have found in the M'boro area. Thought I would share with you guys. It is at the Kangaroo (formerly Golden Gallon) on Old Fory Parkway @ Cason Lane. It is the station next to Sam's. Fill up before it goes up!

Dern, my receiver went out again.

Lunch where? Whoops too late.

Andybody found a portable dyno for Bean's place?

I'm bike racing this weekend. Did I ever tell you about the time I was at a mountain bike race and this 4x4, camper-shelled, 1st Gen pulls up and THREE Women pile out of it. They were racing too. I was driving a ford

The next year at the same race, I met a retired fellow who drives a White 2nd and has 12 miles of trails up around Brush Creek. He races too. Then at the 2 County Metric last year (a 62 mile road ride) I park next to a fellow with a twin to my green truck--made the same month. Cummins cyclists, how about that.

Nope, David Dunbar is full up for the 2005 year! :{ He had to make special arrangements with us (my KYDTR club) to make our event on Sept. 17th after he originally said he couldn't do it, and we couldn't find a replacement dyno.

Dyno

With TS Performance having a free dyno on May 6th, I don't really see the point in trying to get one down here so soon. We were talking April or May and that may be a little too soon.

Several of us are going to Diesel Thunder this year as well and I'm sure we'll be in line for the dyno up there.

I know we're trying to help out 'ol Bean and everything but wouldn't it make more sense to push it back further in the year?

Just my $. 02.

That's just it, David cannot do any other events this year. He has another job that he does full time, his mobile dyno is only part time. I for one do not know of another mobile dyno.

'Doh I forgot met a guy tonight at a local gas station on the Trousdale county line. His name is Thomas Payne he owns/operates "Payne Tree Service. " He has a truck identical to Stephen & Jay's. He used to have a set of 5" miter's farther above the cab than Wade! :-laf He pulled up and I knew the truck right away because of the strobe on the roof. Asked where his stacks were and he said he took 'em off because he bent one going under a tree.

We talked for a few minutes, he has a TST Powermax on it. Stock clutch is on its way out (I didn't have my cell because I was just running to the store for gas for the 'ol Chevy or I would have gave him South Bend's #). He's already experienced a lift/injection pump failure to the tune of $1500. I asked if he had a fuel pressure gauge and he said no  He has boost & pyro, but no FP.

I've got his business card, told him about TS's open house, he remembered me from my old white truck had to explain my that (sold and bought the Limo :-laf ) Told him I would give him a yell next time we were getting together he seemed really interested in coming. Oo.

Hot off the press! Just got of the phone with ISSPRO and they confirmed they have a mechanical fuel pressure gauge like these for our trucks. I always wanted white faced with red/orange pointers. When they came out with these they did not have a mechanical fuel pressure to match. They do now! These are made to match the 3rd Gens. Start shipping next week.

EDM's are on the way!

Well I just ordered a set of Mach 1. 6's from OPoole out there in NC! Oo. :D

I decided to go smaller and reap the fuel economy benefits and then I'll add a TST for more power later. I figured that 85 - 90hp should be a pretty good kick in the arse though!

Hopefully I'll be able to install them next weekend, not this one.

Thanks again Jay for giving me a heads up on his sale!

Anybody had any experience with Diesel Power off Murfreesboro road? How about Dixie Diesel in Columbia? I would like to get my timing set, my pump bench tested, and my injectors tested. Any other recommendations would be appreciated also.

Scott

Can't say much about Diesel Power, but everyone around used to take their stuff to Dixie Diesel. People always had really good results with them from what I've heard. I know they have some good all-around mechanics that don't mind working on small trucks. Lots of diesel mechanics around here just want to work on big rigs.

You probably don't want to come this far south, but who I consider to be the best diesel mechanic around here has justed started up a business again here in town. He's a pretty good friend of mine and used to own a 12V CTD. He lost that one to a head-on collision though. :(

Who said the Dyno @ TS was gonna be free

I was just told it will be $65 for 3 runs and $75 for 4. While I don't mind paying for David Dunbar's excellent services someone has misenformed us. :(

EDIT: Here's the cold hard truth from TS's site.
