Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Hey guys,

Anyone have a full set of rims, aluminum or steel, to fit a 2nd gen - 2000 2500?

No tires needed or wanted.

I am looking for a second set for winter set and a set for summer. Would like to stay with aluminum, and also need all caps and lugs if possible.

Well Wade, Terry, Joe, Meacham, and Nick know that a buddy of mine and I ran into disaster this weekend while trying to time my pump. When we went to check the timing the very first time we didn't tigthen then nut enough and that got the pump 180* out from the motor! :-{}

After a lot of cursing, fighting, some 911 TDR we got it fixed finally about an hour before I had to be at work yesterday.

Most of you know I've been wanting to get my timing done because I was told it was over 20* when I got the truck. Well JR did a quick work up on the #'s I gave him (8. 3mm of pump lift is where it was at) and my injection pump was timed @ 34. 5* by a certain shop (no names) for the previous owner. :--) #@$%!

I consider myself VERY lucky to have not blown a headgasket in the 8 months I have owned this truck. Now my timing is set to a much more reasonable 17*. Oo.

Oh yeah... . JR called this morning too..... Laser Cut's should be in the mail this week! Oo. Oo.

I guess your performance improved... :D I have heard many different opinions on timing, I dont' know which one I aree with yet. I'll know by the time we get the bugs worked out of Ol Smokey though. As said here before. Don't believe everthing you read on TDR.

I plan on crashing that event also!... ..... DANG! #@$%! Just looked at a calender and May 6th is on a Friday... ... gotta request off from work.

Anybody else gonna go? Convoy up from good 'ol Exit #2? :-laf

I'm hoping to be there.

Kinda hard to pass a free dyno. Gotta see what that little box did for me... . besides ulcers.

I'm behind

When the automated notification of this thread quits sending me stuff, I think the thread is dead. Haven't been here for a while. I'll have to catch up. Will be later tonight.

34. 5 seems pretty reasonable to me.

mark, i got thinking and talking to mike about it after i had talked to you. we were thinking that your timing was way off. but weren't sure how to tell you to check it. sorry that i couldn't be of more help to you. glad that you got everything worked out.

I wonder......

If I'm getting a free t-shirt being the furthest to come to a MTTDR roundup... . Whatever color, large, :) Still looking for those sparkplugs too ( they would work in the old '95 gasser) :-laf

Okay, I'm back. (four pages of catch-up)

Can't plan the June thing. Won't have any idea what my schedule will be--but I'm real close to being real busy--but I'm not sure the nature of the busy-ness.

Free shirts to all who pay $20 Shipping and Handling fee. ;)

Congrats on the getting the truck back Meacham. 11. 88-- A man needs to have goals.

I've been on the cycling boards. First race in March. Oo.

Gap, Feger and I just got back from TS Performance in Bowling Green. I can definately say that Dennis Perry is ONE HECK'UVA Nice helpful and friendly guy. We spent several hours there pouring over trucks in his shop (got an 8 bay garage full of diesel hot-rods, tools, and parts), him showing us how his boxes work, and adjusting my box. He crawled under my hood at least 20 times removing and re-installing the box. Kept monkeying with the program until he got it where it runs like stink, with no adverse actions. Feger took him out in my truck and did some drifting, which seemed to really tickle him.

It was an awesome day, I can't say enough good about him. He even gave us all

some really nice hats.

I can't wait to go back on May 6th.

That's allright, I wouldn't want to go anyway  ;)

Is your pyro still climbing like it was?

Hope y'all got enough hats for everybody

Dangit!!!! I KNEW I should'a called you!! My apologies Paul. I thought about it, and just decided naaaah, he wouldn't go. That's what I get for thinkin'. I'm sorry man. I was planning on going alone, and off-handedly mentioned it to them, cause we see each other ever day.

It was a great trip... wish ya had been there.

As a concilation prize, I'd be glad to give ya my hat. :) Or, we can just go back tomorrow. That guy's COOL!

Pyro is controlable, rattle is gone. All systems normal, just mo' power.

Just messin wicha, you can keep your hat. It bites that I have to be AT work whether I have anything to do or not ( just not tellin them that ;))

Diesel Perfomance in Woodbury!

Ryan Bean is having a grand opening of Bean's Diesel Performance in Woodbury on the 5th of March. Buncha Fords from all over will be there. He called me to see if I could stir up some Cummins folks.

I might not be able to make it, but will try.

Directions: If you come in from Murfreesboro, turn LEFT in front of Higgins Car Wash/Mini Storage/Flea Mkt onto the old Highway. Go back toward M'boro a mile or two and it'll be on the right.

Ryan is the guy with the two-turboed PSD flatbed who pulled with us a time or two.

Just food and drink and hanging out. No dyno. I'm sure there'll be some soot released and rubber melted. Meacham--bring the Beast. ;)

That's about all I know right now.

Hmmm... ... Saturday... ... . I don't work Saturday's... ... pherds... ... lot's 'o pherds..... :-laf

Gotta do some plate adjustments this Saturday... . installed Dr. Adkins lastest perscription directions read: Take all 6 @ once and call me in the morning.

The "Original" Mid-Tenn Thread

Well in a fit of nostalgia, I decided to read through the original Members' Rigs Spotted thread - all 28 pages since June of 2002! I'm exhausted!

Read some interesting tales - Wade's rise to over 400HP, Mark's battles with stacks... and one interesting one about Wade getting cited for "Random Mayhem and Mischief" at Mark's work and then Mark getting fired back in May of '03!!! What??? There's gotta be a story here!

I also came across 8 Middle Tennessee TDR members that are apparently still active but haven't responded to this thread...

KEENO - Franklin, 1st gen (bombed)

Dull Pain - '94 3500

Second Hand Lion - 2nd gen

bmd-2bakid4evr - Nashville - hasn't been on since 2003

CAKUZ - 3rd Gen

cowboybarber - LaFayette

4 RAM TRACKS -

BigPapa - Springfield, 2nd gen

I know that Wade and Mark have talked to some of these guys before but maybe we should invite them to our next meeting - maybe they haven't found this thread? Several of them have been on within the last 3 days.

Here's a quick rundown on the dates of when some of us first made ourselves known:

Mark - 6-20-02

Wade - 6-28-02

Gap - 7-25-02

Andy - 5-15-03

Jay - 8-11-03

Hans - 9-8-03

Paul - 9-22-03

First meeting was on 2-15-03 at some dyno near the Nashville SuperSpeedway.

Just some interesting info - gotta hit the sack now...
