Cedar City Diesel

Cedar City Diesel should be opening in about 6 weeks. The building is secured and the equipment is being negotiated and ordered now. We will have 3,000 sq. ft. on Tennessee Blvd. in Lebanon. There will be 3 lifts, 10k 2 post, 12k 2 post, and a 12k 4 post alignment rack. We will do all general services and repairs for 3/4 and 1 ton diesels. We will Road Force Balance tires and wheels, alignments, clutches, trannys, pumps, injectors, head work, turbos, brakes, etc... We hope to do some fabrication work in the future. The high performance will be the sideline work in the beginning.

My partner will be Scott West (Corn). He is an ASE certified master tech and a great guy.

We will be having an open house before we open and I hope you guys can come. I'll keep you informed.

Well I may have just had a big wrench thrown into my Diesel Nationals (IRP) plans.



The g/f just changed jobs this week, and she doesn't think that even between now and then (JUNE 24TH) it would be a wise idea to ask off :-{} so we can leave and convoy up with the rest of you all (Hans, Jay, ???) HOPEFULLY good Lord willing she will change her mind between now and then, because she doesn't get off from anywhere between 5 to as late as 7:30. And she's supposed to be 8AM to 4PM.



Will keep you guys updated, I'm just #@$%!#@$%!#@$%!

I'm on the outside lookin' in here, but sounds like to me that she's tryin' to make up an excuse not to go, and therefore, for you not to go. Am I way off base here or what?



There's no way I would let any woman keep me from going to IRP. And the best I can remember, there's no ring on your finger right?

Dated this girl for 1. 5 yrs... . one part of the split was she didn't like the truck thing taking up so much time & $$. Been apart 2 yrs now... now we're back and she's more understanding... . and wants to go to the pulls and cheer me on even though she's not crazy about me pulling my daily driver.



Not go... :-laf ... . I don't care if she get's off @ 10-11PM we'd drive out after that... ... that's what I did the first time I ever went to Scheid... . got off work @ 10:30 and drove straight through almost to Terra Haute... ... got a room @ 1:30 am... went to sleep @ 3am... ... . got up at 7 and drove the rest of the 40 miles in!



She wants to go, she just doesn't *think* she need's to be asking for a day off "this early" I think I can convince her otherwise between now and then... ..... (PRAY FOR ME!)

Here's the deal - I've been with the same girl for 4 1/2 years and she's pretty much accepted everything about me, but I know that no matter how understanding she acts or how much she says that she wants to go to IRP, I know that she would much rather be doing something else. That's just the way it goes. So even after that long, I don't put much stock into what she says, because most likely, she knows that we're going to do what I want to do anyway so she just goes along with it. :-laf (I am footing the bill for the trip - all she has to do is ride along and smile)



But before you freak out, bear in mind that the Nationals is still 3 months away. And I don't care what kind of job she's got, 3 months notice is plenty of time to request a vacation day.



It'll work out.

Anybody get their notice yet for emissions testing for tags?



Dad got his renewal notice yesterday for my old 79 K20 (which is tagged in Trousdale County since I skeered de kitties off :-laf )



Lebanon, Symnra, M'Borro, Gallatin, Franklin all are going to be testing Diesel's now. Lovely. Hope I can get by by swapping back in a lesser aggressive plate, reinstalling the rackstop, and dialing the starwheel full back. :{



If Trousdale starts calling for all GVWR's I'm screwed..... gotta find another kitty for the K20.
