From F1 Diesel:

"Only 3, 24 Valve trucks are running the 1/4 mile in under 12 seconds in the entire country on Diesel Fuel Only. Meacham Evins ( 11. 78 ) Chris Hoofnagle ( 11. 84 ) and Rip Rook ( 11. 89 ) All these trucks run the Mach 7 injector. "

SWEET! Way to GO Meacham!

I meant to ask him how it went when I was out at Cedar City this week but forgot. Thats awesome Meacham..... way to go you diesel dude!!!!!! :D

Them mach 7's you don't want for a daily driver.

Mooretown is running diesel trucks tomorrow night IF ANYBODY has the necessary safety stuff--switch and guard for balancer. Bean said he wasn't going. My truck is "out of service"--and no safety stuff. No telling what the other ford bunch will do. They said they twern't doing mtpa again.

I will, just mebbe not this year.

But then I did see a "strange" 4x4 ford with stacks blowin smoke up MY hill. Too bad I was going down.

Anybody figgered out yet why ford exhaust doesn't smell the same as Cummins exhaust. Hmmm? Maybe I sniffed too much fumes already.

Oh and the piece o' work VP44 that put Meacham's truck on the national diesel-only VP class is kaput. Moment of silence.

Now guess who's going full mechanical? :D

The fourth vp-44 took a dump and the p-7100 parts are here so on with the games. The p-pump is on it's way to Texas, along with . 084 conversion fuel lines, connection tubes, Mach 7's, and cam for some Formula 1 magic. The dash is coming out, along with Engine Control Module and Powertrain Control Module. Full mechanical is the way I'm going. I'm probably going to put a crank handle in the front to start this thing! I'll try to keep you updated.

Meacham

Well I decided today that my EGTs weren't getting hot enough so I ordered a set of Mach 5s from Olee Poole and I've ordered an HTB2 charger but there's about a 3 week wait on them. I'm gonna try a few more things between now and the first of the year and see if I can't bust 500 HP with no wire-tap. We'll see...

Have I shocked anyone?
:--)

Haven't really been online here all week and it looks like I missed a lot. Hans, you aren't BS'ing us are you? Looks like you and I are trying to get to the same point of 500HP with no wire tap. The HTB2 is what I was going to order. Probably going to wait until next year to upgrade to a FASS and HTB2. Everything else is ready but the bank account.

Meacham, congrats on the fastest 24V time. Looking forward to the p-pump conversion. That is going to be unreal... .

Is anyone planning on going to Mooretown tonight? Pulling or not? If so, we might see you there!

Nope..... I won't be back to that place. MTPA screwed us local pullers so screw them. :-{}

No Jay, Han's isn't BS'n us. I talked to him for like 45 mins on the phone the other night. To bad he has to wait so long on that turbo. 500HP w/o wire tap! :--) That should be a fun ride... ..... hope you don't have to pull that NV4500 again! :{ :-laf

I've got some stuff in the works..... definately not pulling @ Scheids I ain't stuu-pid. But if some of y'all wanna make a decent little drive 3 (hrs) I will be competing for the last time this year @ my KY Diesel Club event on Sept. 17th will my new goodies.

Feger and I just got back from Cookeville. I sold those wheel's y'all saw on the truck. Had them in the bed... . about halfway up there, good ole' Death Wobble hit us. Slammed me three times before getting off I-40. :(

This crap is really getting old. I'm in over $700, and still no cure. Not sure where to go next, any suggestions... . besides "the crusher"?

Tell me we're not gonna start this crap again... :p

Anyway, the 500HP with no wire tap sort of picked me. I don't really like the whole concept of adjustable power (because I would rarely use it, honestly) but I wanted to be at a solid 450 or so to put me in the range for a big turbo.

I wanted to try something different so I went with the 5s and with the EZ, that should put me real close to 450HP. Add a couple of other goodies, and I should be at 500HP with no EGT issues either. ;)

I felt like an adjustable fueling box would have really put me between turbos. Meaning that not running it on higher levels wouldn't put me in the range for another turbo but when I did run it on the higher levels, it would. That is, with the 1. 6s.

It was also a matter of simple economics. :-laf I'm basically gaining 110 full-time horsepower for $350 less than what ~90 more horsepower would have cost me with a TST box, and that would be on Level 9.

So now I'm solidly in the range for a big single and I've got power that's always gonna be there. I'm really a canditate for a manual motor aren't I? This adjustability stuff really bothers me. :-laf  Ahhh well, I'll have me an under-valved motor to play with one day...

I'm also in the hunt for 500+ hp... . I dynoed @ the performance garage in Jan. I made a hair over 425 hp and 1000 lbs ft. I was on a dyno jet and I was only making about 28 psi. . because of the non brake style dyno. My egt's got up to about 1100. IT makes 44psi on the highway... . But I dont want to make guesses on what it would make on a brake style dyno ( where I could see the boost) but anyways... ... I'm looking for a HT3B and then some pump work..... But, Like everyone else... ... . Waiting on funds..... Have a good one, Garrick

Yeah, we've been through the apostrophe thing with Mark several times. I think he must have been asleep that day in the 1st grade when they were taught about apostrophes.

Again, just because a word ends with an "S", doesn't mean that you have to put an apostrophe before it! #@$%! :-laf

It's okay, Mark - you'll get it figured out one day. ;) :p

Oh, by the way, the AirDog is on and fueling my truck! Oo.

I had ordered this fancy fitting for a FP gauge from Ekstam and the thing would not quit leaking. Ended up taking it off and just hooking the fuel line straight to the pump like I should have done in the first place.

So no FP gauge right now, but I'm gonna look for a little "T" fitting that I can hook into the line by cutting it into. I think they may refer to that as a snubber or something.

I need one that will slide into 1/2 ID fuel lines and then have a -4 AN male fitting to attach to my fuel pressure line.

The 'lil woman was hanging over my head ready to go somewhere and I was just trying to type that reply as quickly as possible.

Sorry HANS!

If any of y'all are interested I believe I have 'ol Mr. Johnson of Lebanon talked into taking a road trip with me to Cynthiana, KY on Sept. 17th (Sat. ) for "Smokin The Bluegrass '05" an all day Show & Shine, David Dunbar's mobile Dynojet, and A LOT of truck pulling that evening (3 DHRA classes, 2 NON-DHRA classes) sponsored by DHRA, RAW Diesel Performance, and my KY Club "Kentucky Diesel Truck Round Up. "

Its going to be a BLAST! With plenty of people there all day. We're actually going to leave out on Friday afternoon after work because C-town is a good 3. 5 hrs away, but there are 2 hotel's within 10mins of the fairgrounds.

If any of y'all wanna join us and come have a good time and watch me pull for the last time this year (and get my butt handed to me several times over! :-laf ) then mark off your calender and join us in on Friday the 16th.
