Thanks for the offer, but it's moving round bales from his neighbor's place to his. Pissant it one at a time ... so it's not much for any help to do.

Again, thanks for the offer. :)

Anyways, I'm gonna try to get there early A. M. and get it done.

Gap or Joe,

What time are y'all planning to leave?... . thereabouts

I reckon about 1-2 O'clock paul. Joe shuts down at noon on Saturdays. He usually comes to my place and gets cleaned up (it's 25 miles to his house the wrong direction). By the time thats all done it'd be about 1 O'clock or so. I'd wait on ya if you want to come. Just trying to get to Reds in enough time to tinker on the truck. Gonna pull the tires off Andy's truck (lot better tread) than whats on Ol Smokey now and pull his fuel plate out to try it in the truck before we go pull. See if that'd wake her up a little better.

Our original TC from Dave Goerand only had 1000 rpm stall. He loosened it up 200-300 rpms and said he didn't feel comforable making it any looser as it would start to loose it's effecientcy on the top end. We really don't want to pull it out again no time soon either(3 times already)! Ol truck still impresses me, that'll it'll run as good as it does with that tight of a TC. Takes a bit for the turbo to lite, but she'll eventually wake up stalling it, boy when she does lite. . Sweet! It'll only stall up in 4wd. Truck won't stall in 2wd. We wonder if it's worth loosening up the TC anymore anyway. Everything you do(sled pulling /drag racing) you'll do it 4wd anyway. On the street you just have to drive the truck vs just stabbing it.

If you could get outta there by noon paul, you'd make it. If you think you can make it, We'll wait on ya. Let us know when ya'll want to meet. It's an 1. 5 hr drive from my place to red's.

Gap, I am still trying to see if I am going to be able to get out there in time to convoy out with ya. Once I do find/ figure it all out, I will call Joe, I have his # in my cell already. Keep your fingers crossed!!! :p

Well, let me figure out exactly what I have to do that morning, I know that I have to go feed and turn out horses, get them hay, but that is all I know for now, trying to get Shannon to pin down some plans so we know what is going on. I'll tackle her tonight and tickle her until she tells me, she already know I wanna get out there and help you guys out with everything. I'll let you know once I find out man, Thanks though!!! ;)

Gap,

if y'all don't hear from me by noon Saturday, don't wait. I'll be on the west side of nashville near Cheat'em county, bout 45 min from your place.

Hey Gap - I could probably meet you guys at Red's a couple of hours before the pull - I'd be glad to help with whatever I could do. Could you give me his address so I can figure out how to get there from Memphis?

Gap or Joe, I think it's all figured out now, Shannon says it should be no problem for us to be there by 2, maybe sooner. If anything changes, I will call your cell or Joe's to let you know. I will PM you my cell number so you know it's me. Let me know if anything changes on your end and I need to try to be there by 1 or whatever. Thanks man, Shay

Can't wait for Saturday guys! Oo. Oo.

What time does the pull actually start? I wouldn't mind showing up an hour or two before it starts but if we show up super early the old lady is gonna get bored. :-laf However I still want to have some time to fool around with 'Ol Smokey with the guys before the pull.

Learned something new tonight..... I'm gonna have to dial my fuel back down before the pull. Was playing coming home tonight and opened her up WOT a couple of times... ... something was moving and caught my eye when I held her out a the 2nd time... . it was the temp gauge... . 1st time I've EVER seen that gauge that far past 190*!!!! :--) :--) :--)

Gotta take that #10 Terry and I made and make a #100 sometime quick. Also Dilbert an I are gonna try and make some blocks before Saturday, and we're pulling his 33" worn out Mastercraft M/T's off his truck and putting them on mine. Should be quite interesting Saturday night. :D

Who's gonna win the stock truck pulloff?

John Feger: stock 01, 3. 55, long bed, 35s

Momma always said, "Be carefull what you ask for, you might just get it!"

Joe has told all his buddies to be at his place at Noon on saturday. We can probably get them to show up at 1:00 if ya'll need the time. We also swapped Joe's VP44 last night. It was missing in the upper RPMs. Not no more! Runs like a champ. Sourced a good place locally to get pumps if ya'll need one. We just hung a fishing sinker on the Pyro needle to keep her cool. Joe was worried that it'll run hot pulling the sled. I gave him "sledpullers" advice. "just put some tape over the Pyro and don't even look at it!"

Paul, get that hay dropped and come on!

THAT is funny. Mainly because it's true. God love him for being thorough guy though!!!

Meacham, you guys can do my timing when I get this ol girl on the road can't ya?

(_|_) Fegers head stuck up his own butt! It might be just me, but I always check the temperature, barometric pressure and humidity of the anus before insertion into the buttocks! Feger would read this but he is too busy checking the back lash of his turn signal indicator bulbs to get a subscription to TDR. :D

Like my coworkers say "Don't worry about asking Gap his opinion, he'll tell ya. "

Gap and I took Joe's VP44 back to get the core refunded today, then we went by Tennessee Clutch.
... and then we went to Checker's and got some Big Bufords... mmmmm double cheeseburger, fries and a gallon of Coke.

DISCLAIMER: I'm going to whine like a small child now. If you choose to read on, beware...

The guy had a Spicer ceramic button clutch. 4 ceramic buttons per side. Claimed it would hold ~400 ponies. Also said he sold one to a pwrstroke owner that had 700hp. Clutch is $290. I asked him about warranty, and he said he'd "work with me". I don't know what that means, but I don't like the sound of it much. Gap suggested that we buy and install the clutch, and trailer the truck to this guys shop. Unload the truck, fire it up, run it up to about 3000 and side step the clutch. If we smoke the clutch, we take it out and throw it through his window. (Now, here comes the whining) I mulled it over while mowing the grass this afternoon, and the more I thought about my conversations with both South Bend Clutch and EEP, the MADDER I got. I didn't care for my phone call to Peter, then the more I read his response on the TDR to me, the more condescending, pandering and turse it appears to be. EEP started out helpful, and then sharply ran downhill when I started to ask questions... I realize that people call vendors ALL the time to ask questions or get help, and have no intention of buying anything. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but if I'm going to drop a wad of my money on something, you're going to answer ALL my questions, or to heck with ya.

WHINING OVER...

Who makes a GOOD clutch besides SBC and EEP?

SO, who wants a RACEHORSE deal on this clutch? I'm REALLY tired of it taking up space on my workbench. Not to mention that I'm DYING to get this truck buttoned up and on the road.
