Been to the doctor.
Sometime during the re-tapping of the block, I overtorqued my lower back, which eventually involved the sciatic nerve and causes a good bit of discomfort. Then on Friday I had to go back into the RF wheel bearings of the 24v and managed to drop the caliper (resting on the upper control arm) onto my kneecap. :{

And I compounded the deal by running around on a cane spotting weather as most NWS-trained weather spotters are supposed to do in the face of the storm.
So now-after various treatments and lots of alcohol and pain killers-, I've put myself on crutches--better on the back and am bracing the knee with ice and heat applications. And massagers and hot soaks and stretching. Hell, Cheryl is driving me around today.
And waiting. It's supposed to clear up with time.
Did accupuncture yesterday. The knee pain went away until 1 or 2 am--an then I had to take a pill. Then it woke me up again... repeat.
The knee has been injured before, but I've never had pain like this. It goes from my lumbar area, through the hip and down to the knee OR the knee just throbs like a muther. BUT there is no pain at ALL in the knee (back kicks in then) when walking--but walking all gimpy-like ain't helping. I'm going to try crutching it for a day or two.
No pain at all anywhere when on the bike.
Don't mean to whine and complain, but that's just the way it is right now. I tried to position myself so that I could do some port work on the head and such Saturday, but I couldn't get away from the pain.
So I'm just looking at the truck. Got the overhead creeper a couple of days late. I'll get better. Then I'll fix a truck or two.
Finished the taxes. Who's got a 4" turbo and downpipe they ain't using?
