Whaddup Jay! How's life? Good to see you're still looming around!

Guys, I'm sort of considering a 99 that Gap found me. ~100k on the clock.

QC/LB 4x4, NV-4500. Two things bother me about it:

1. 24v (53 block?, VP44?).

2. Engine miss sometimes when hot.

My first thought on the miss was VP going south (which I'm okay with, the price is right). But doing some searching in the 24v forum, it appears that the miss is quite common and doesn't neccessarily have to do with a pump laying down. Some people talk about the problem surfacing AFTER a VP replacement. I dunno, I'd like your thoughts on that. I haven't heard it run he bought an Acura TL last year, and never drives the truck to work anymore). He's wanting a megacab and is contemplating selling. I may or may not have the opportunity to buy/pass on the truck.

We work with the owner, but I don't know him (123,000 employees... I'm bound to not know them all. lol).

My truck has the stumble they talk about. Its not that bad some post make it sound like the truck fell apart. It only does it when the bully dog box is on  I can run the tst only and it dont do it, i think its a timing issue or timing makes it more noticable. The smarty has a fix for it i think.

Joe

I need a driver's side bottom from a club/standard cab--or just the manual fore/aft bracket. While yall is lookin. I have a good pass side 24v Quad seat. Tried to make bracket swap with 12v and that don't work.

Lebanon Auto Plaza does it again......

Don't let your wife, girlfriend, sister, aunt,... ... . aww heck don't let ANYONE deal with Lebanon Auto Plaza. Most of ya know there's no love lost between L-A-P and myself. I worked there for a couple of months and then I was let go because there wasn't enough work for me to do... nothing of my own fault.

Well Anna went to try and work out a trade on a used Wrangler they had up there Friday. Her dad wouldn't go with her, and I was having to do the B-day thing with my parents/grandmothers. Lets just say they didn't do right by her, and I will still be turning people away from them. She got a payment she's happy with (less than her old bug) but there were a few things they should have fixed and done that she didn't get them to take care of. Oh well... she'll know next time.

Too much fun

If I'm having this much fun with just an Edge Juice, I can only imagine the thrills those of you with stacked boxes, large injectors and turbos are having.

Had a Camaro RS riding my bumper so close I could only see the top of the windshield. He did this for @ 4-5 miles. When traffic allowed he shot to the right lane and gave me one of those smart a** looks and floored it. When the car in front of me moved over, I set to box to 5 and went after him.

When I caught up he floored it again and tried to pull away. When we hit 105 I was still right on him and he could not get away. I did the slingshot move and went around him on the right and put 3-4 lengths on him and I let out. The look on his face when he went back by was priceless :--) .

Can't wait for some more mods. I blame Wade. He took me for a ride last year at Mark's giving me my first taste of a Hotrod Dodge.

Edge Jammer Nozzels

Is anyone here running these or know of anyone who is? How hard are they to swap over once the injectors are out? I was reading about them on The Diesel Garage Forums and everyone was happy with them.

One of the venders was advertising the 100 hp ones for $250. 00 installed on core injectors and then pop tested. You send your cores in so they can build up another set for someone else.

Just wondering. Could be a cheap mod.

There nice, make sure you get them pop tested. it's a coin toss if you don't if they will have an erratic idle or not. We've put several in. Joe ran 21. 8 mpg consistnently over several tanks with the 75hp ones and his comp on lvl 1 and the stock turbo. he had erratic idle until we had them pop tested/ balanced.

Dale has 150hp ones in his with Edgecomp and twins. The ol twins clear them right up too. They fuel well, but don't think they fuel as much as the Don Ms. Joe has the DonMs in now (125hp) and they don't spary, they squirt! He's going back to the the 75hp jammers for fuel economy. He's only been running about 15mpg with the DonMs.

Very good bang for the buck! Several diesel shops in nashville will pop test them about $12-$15 each. Just as cheap or probably cheaper to get them done when you buy them.

... and they SMOKE too. Whew. I drove it to the parts house Saturday. Leaving the redlight, parking spot, etc. smoke. smoke. smoke.

She's a PEPPY girl though.

Jammers

Joe,

What is your opinion on the Jammer injectors. Are @100 hp injectors to big for stock turbo and headgasket?

Anthony

what are you running them with, an ez, comp, smarty, or tst?

we ran the 150s with a comp, and it was too much for the turbo with the comp on 5, the head gasket was fine though.

i ran the 75s with the comp on 1 to tow, on 5, you had to watch your heat, the gasket is fine until you upgrade your turbo. there is my opinion, clear as mud.

Hey Andy, Keep the dust off my shirts till maybe I can run you down, as usual something came up and I didn't make it to Marks house for the meeting, maybe I can meet you this weekend or soon, I still have your number, so I will call ya, hello everyone , wished I could have made it to Marks this past weekend, the video was funny... .

Drag Comp and DD3's (100) made 415 on my 24v with stock turbo. Added the Dodgezilla 14cm and picked up 60 MORE RWHP. I'd do as Joe said and run 75's until you can get more turbo.

Although I think the Dodgezilla I have is spectacular on the 24v--I'd go on up to a HTB2 12 or 14 with 4" downpipe if I wuz doing it again.

Big turbos rock! But then my ears ring most of the time. :p
