You mean he's one of those guys who hides under a bridge and tries to eat billy goats (gruff) when they cross over to greener pastures ?:-laf

I have a long tow south coming up. I expect high 13's. We will see. I have also learned I can't drive this truck like I did my 99. Mileage would be even worse if I did.
I am on a trip at this time, I will be back home in 2 weeks, this trip is 9000 miles 99% with the 14000 pound 5th wheel in tow, 1 % empty, I have retained every fuel receipt and will computer the MPG and post it if anyone is interested a coast to coast trip should be a very good average.
Just if anyone really wants to know, 9100 mile coast to coast, all sorts of roads, Interstate speeds I try for 55-65 mph, the Rig is 22,745 pounds combined, the hand calculated MPG was 10. 61, the EVIC says 10. 6, I set the trip odo when we departed, and reset the EVIC at the same time, so now I know the EVIC is correct, my old 2005 was way off, this one is good, one more thing, I took off with a fresh oil change, after the 9100 mile trip, I unhooked the 5th wheel, two blocks I get the oil change message, since I do my own, and it made no extra oil, what good timing, this is a real great truck for towing, that's all I can say, 18000 miles, never been to the Dealer for anything.
I've turned 221,000 on my 2011,. my fuel milage has improved since new. I pull 34-36 ft RV New 5th wheels mostly, (delivery)
As for lying? I have no reason to lie here. I'm loaded 1/2 the time and I get 10-13mpg, depends on the wind, in severe wind I have gotten as low as 9mpg. Homeward bound I get 20mpg, empty at 70mph. Of course I did the complete deletes. But I learned one lesson, At 1st I pulled my loads on mild setting with turbo tune, as high as 36psi boost. I ended up with a blown head gasket. So now I use no turbo tune and when I have to pull hard, like up a long hill or mountain I use factory setting w/no extra power. For me the deletes have paid for themselves a couple times over. I have hand calculated numerious times. The display reading will only keep track of the last 400-600 miles mpg.
