Thats cool, I know back home my dad works at a coop and they sell cenex fuel and a lot of farmers have been mixing there diesel up to 20% already, but most stay in the 2%-5% range.

Interestingly, 2% is the amount needed to provide recommended lubricity levels in diesel fuels, and NO additional additives *should* be needed if the user's only concern is fuel system lubrication...

Perhaps - but THIS one is at least a step in the RIGHT direction, as compared to other fuel mandates - plus, it sends a message to the Arabs that we are beginning travel down an alternative road...

Perhaps so, but it would be much more effective and cost-efficient if B2 were a national mandate instead of a state mandate. There are dozens of botique fuels (mostly gasolines with different types and doses of oxygenate and differing Reid vapor pressures) now required for various states and municipalities. This has cost implications (it obviously is more costly to blend 3 or 4 types of 87 octane unleaded or #2 diesel than 1 in a given refinery) as well as supply implications - if a state allows only B2, then non-B2 from adjoining states cannot be used in the event of a disruption of supply of B2.



As I said - just something to consider.....

Refineries in Minn. , VA. PA. oh boy what a thought, could it be that the refining process of biodiesel would not be affected by epa since its a natural source of fuel and that its not crude oil... Hmmmmmmmmm as we all know thats why no more refineries have been built, I do believe *HERE'S YOUR SIGN*...

If someone else can step in and inlighten us all, could we the farming communities be on to something...

What a coincidence that diesel went up 10-cents yesterday... ...



I saw a station toady that had diesel over $3/gallon. They had to use duct tape to make the "3". Just chaulk that up as a another use for duct tape... :{

Try 3. 15 at the pilot station. Kinda strange the small guy can make greasel for under a buck a gallon. Maybe government should should look into all options. Not just soy.

The Shell station in Sturgis,MI was just bought out by foreigners of some sort. Anyway, I saw this Hajee looking guy putting up the new price placards and he put up 3. 15 for #2. Sooooooo, this is what I get after serving 4 and 1 in Baghdad! Oh yeah, and this is after they bought this place wich had been there for as long as I could remember and fired all of the employees and put in their own! Just something to think about.

It seems that there's something missing here, I think that its the same screw just witch direction it comes from , if the oil Co. s do it to us ,they get the money and power, if the state does it, they get the money & power , the feds, well then we have completed the police state, let all fuels operate with out any hinderance or subsities and it would be cheaper and we'ld be free'er, the only contols are in the constitution , if you do someone harm [ life or liberty] than that person can have you proscuted.
